This is a beautiful and classic point and click game. I get the itch to replay every few years, usually around Halloween, and I love it every time. Haunting sound design, amazing pre-rendered backgrounds, and engaging story. Super fun if you're a fan of old school point and click puzzle games.5 found this helpful
Played this game maybe 15 years ago. I think it was the first steam game i played on my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ little laptop back in the day. The game is a point and click masterpiece. A shame it got popular after the game got desisted. Support the developer and buy Asylum if you were forced to pirate this.5 found this helpful
A brilliant point and click mystery horror adventure game which belongs at the top with all the other greats. From beginning to end, this had me glued to my monitor. Very creepy and memorable, it had a very good story and reading the journals was interesting and fleshed out the story brilliantly. With some great atmospheric music and good jump scares, this is one of my fave horror experiences. It's just such a shame this game has been lost to the void.3 found this helpful
This gets a thumbs up, mainly because it's a passable point & click horror that excels in atmosphere and music (with some detraction... read on), has the usual puzzles of the genre, but falls flat on the story and some of the mechanics. To start with, playing this in 2026 requires some tweaks; once able to play, the game is easily managed in terms of navigation and hunting for items. Puzzles are generally easy if you know the genre; if you aren't aware of the tropes, you may need a walkthrough in a few places. The problem is mainly the atmosphere (spooky, intriguing) versus the story and its mechanics (dull and sometimes comical). I expected a dark mystery with a mix of psychological horror and maybe a bit of the supernatural. Instead, I found the flow disrupted by frustration with the mechanic that allowed the story to move forward. Basically, you would find a clue, but to get the story to move forward, you had to "call a friend". This became repetitive, and eventually, comical. Other reviews have detailed some of this, but in short, it was disruptive to the atmosphere and narrative. The final issue is the ending. I had figured out the "ghost" by then (it's a common trop…
i am drunk but this point and click adventue scared the ♥♥♥♥ out of me when I first played it. If you are a streemer play this blind anyway you can.
Recently replayed. Love it. Atmosphere is peak unease.
