After an evening of seemingly endless partying, you wake up to find you’re the only living passenger walking through the eerie hallways of the vessel. Your first hint? Traces of blood and scattered baggage littering what was once the interior of a bustling cruiseliner. The scene around you makes your goal crystal clear.

Find your way out and get help.
Take a deep breath. Brave the hollow halls. Search every nook and cranny for clues. Discover what has turned the Sea of Dreams into a vessel of nightmares.

Alright. Sea of Dreams is done and dusted. Kind of an innocuous name, but in reality, it’s a lite horror RPG Maker puzzle game. Took me right around ninety minutes to complete, and quite a few of those were spent with me making one puzzle way harder on me than it actually was supposed to be, lol. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3172785198 The premise is you’re on a luxury cruise. You wake up in your cabin, get up to go check some stuff out, and realize you’re the only person on this ship. You then go about solving the mystery of why, and then trying to find your way off the ship while avoiding death. I think the developer did a great job with both the graphics, which were evocative, and the soundtrack, which was atmospheric. One of the puzzles was also tied to a musical piece, which I did think was pretty cool. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3172784999 Another cool thing that happens here is, when you find a solution or hint to a puzzle, you don’t have to remember it despite there not being a journal. Instead, while doing said puzzles (with one exception), your notes appear on screen. Most of the puzzles are numerically ba…14 found this helpful
Imagine a Lucas Arts adventure game, but made using RPGmaker**. The atmosphere and puzzles are pretty good, as is the story line. I did find one puzzle that was very unclear or maybe bugged out but manged to get thru it with enough trial and error. Puzzles tend more toward logic and observation than inventory. Good for an hour of fun, which I think is about right - it doesn't overstay it's welcome and remains interesting for that period of time. ** I don't know what engine was used, but certainly RPGmaker is plausible. This is not a criticism, if true, however, as it in no way is a generic RPGmaker game; everything is custom to this game scenario, and there's no fighting, just exploration and puzzling.1 found this helpful
the game is really fun the puzzles are good id say for the price you get a good game. my only issue is the casino part which i had to look up, in the future id reccomend hinting at what is supposed to be done but that it everything else is smooth sailing pun intended1 found this helpful
A cool concept and setting with an incredibly poor execution. As you can see, it's a fairly easy game to 100%, but I recommend a walkthrough video for some of these incredibly obtuse puzzles. I hope the developer tries their hand at another game. Like I said, I like some of the setting and concepts in this game even if the gameplay itself wasn't particularly enjoyable.
nothing explained just a ship full of the most insane puzzles ever. the very first of which in the casino has to be the most over complicated moon logic puzzle ever. on top of it the english instructions are written mid stroke by someone suffering severe brain damage, you find bits of lore about a sort of philadelphia program experiment but written by someone with no grammar or punctuation skills. all this bs to reach the most boring ending ever that is 1 sentence long. not worth it even it if it was free to play
game is fun
