About Settlemoon
Settlemoon is an old-school idle game about building a small sidescrolling town. As your town grows in real time, you'll attract visitors, buy materials, sell items, and post quests for adventurers to complete. Expand from a single inn to a bustling town that visitors of all levels and classes are attracted to.

Good things take time. Set up your town and check in to see who's visiting throughout the day, or set things up to run overnight. Your town will handle itself for a while, even when the game isn't open, and will be there waiting for your return.
With no fail states and no need for constant micromanagement, you can study Settlemoon's inner workings at your own pace. Attract odd visitors and powerful bosses to uncover the mystery of the land, all told through charming pixel art and a retro-inspired soundtrack.

Using hundreds of different pieces of decor, paint colors and flooring, pretty up your town however you like. Re-shape your town to suit the needs of yourself and your visitors. Create quests for adventurers to go on to build your town's economy.
Every adventurer has a unique look. Name your favorites so you'll see them revisit, or copy their fashion sense to your own avatar. You can also just fling them around. They can take it.

✦ AI summary
Settlemoon is praised as a relaxing and cozy idle game with charming art style and endearing villager characters that encourages checking in periodically rather than constant engagement. Players appreciate the gentle gameplay loop focused on exploration and story discovery rather than number optimization, though some note the game's mechanics and narrative can be unclear at first glance.
Wonderful idle game, beautiful art and music and with far more to it than is usual for idle games. In truth it'd earn top marks simply for being in this genre without being crammed full of ads, the fact that it's a genuinely good game in its own right is just some really delightful icing on the top. It can be a bit hard to piece together some of the mechanics given the artistic (and very intriguing) decision to convey them through visuals rather than words. But you have all the time in the world for something that only really needed a few minutes per day to keep making progress.
If this winds up being the only idle game I ever get into, I think that would be fine by me. I think that games that try to advertise themselves as being "cozy" don't really appeal to me because they don't actually feel cozy to me. But this? This one feels truly cozy. A unique kind of cozy. The cozy that makes me feel like a stranger welcomed into a town I don't speak the language of, but that will very gladly make me feel at home anyways. The cozy that makes me feel like I can listen to the little instruments and the crickets forever without ever getting tired of it. The game is cute and charming, but beyond that it seems to evoke an emotion I have no name for. A connection with something so alien that I wonder if I'll ever understand it, yet the emotions come through crystal clear. A strange mix of curiosity and empathy. The otherworldly glyphs, lack of handholding, and chunky low res art style leave so much to the imagination, in a very good way. 10/10, beautiful game in so many ways.
One of the best idle games I've played. Plenty to do when you want to focus on it, but progresses regardless, freeing up your attention when you need it.
Lovely game, lovely plot, lovely art, very cozy wether your looking at it everyso often or having it run in the background
If you enjoy the decoration and art-style of Stardew Valley, but want something more idle and cozy, then this is the game for you! It's very easy to get into and I like collecting the villagers, they are so cute :3
Settlemoon is an interesting take on the idler genre. Rather than progressively getting better and upgrading yourself to get bigger numbers, you just come back every so often to check in on the villagers of your town. It has a pretty simple gameplay loop that can go on for a really long time, especially because it doesn’t run 24/7. You need to activate moon phases which have a limited time for your town to make progress. That means you can’t just leave it running for a week, come back, and powerlevel a bunch and repeat the process. This makes it different from other idlers because it really wants you to idle by leaving it entirely and checking on it hours later. Playtime will probably be anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour or so, depending on how much you plan on doing. First and foremost the biggest problem this game has is definitely it’s lack of information. There’s basically no words at all in this game and so everything is basically just vaguely given to the player in the form of short little picture books that give you the jist of what is going on. Other than that you’re given nothing. You don’t get names for the monsters, the quests, the materials, the items you’re selling o…
