Dear developer: If you're going to make a mini simcity game, do yourself a favor and don't make putting down roads so absurdly twitchy and anti-intuitive that you kill all enthusiasm for even completing the tutorial. Here's a hint. If you are going to allow and require putting nodes into roads at specific spots, PUT THE NODES WHERE I TELL YOU TO PUT THE NODES, not randomly one space over from where I tell you to put the node. Seriously. Congratulations: You have made an OCD punishment tool.2 found this helpful
The most common achievement for this game, is finishing the tutorial. Which I did do. That said.... only around 60% of players did this. That means 40% of people bought this game and didn't even finish the tutorial. That should go somewhere far enough to tell you how I feel about this game... it's soulless. It's like a city builder, without the city or the builder. It's just waiting on menus and dots. You can sorta build.... But there's no real freedom in it. Just weird interfaces. Finally... the tutorial is bad. It tells you to build buildings.... but to work out how to do that, there are videos. That sounds fine, right? The videos are a tiny button that I completely overlooked while doing the whole tutorial through guess work. I didn't even realise it was a video for the tutorial. The game never told me. So I guess the tutorial is difficult or something? Might be why 40% of players didn't finish it. I didn't give this game much time, because I don't want to. The developers have abandoned it. There's a lot of people talking about that on it's steam discussions and in other reviews. If the developers won't give this game the time of day.. why should the players? This game was so ADDICTING! Playing tycoon without any fancy graphic but still fun.
Fun game, only for those who like managing resources and making highly efficient designs and layouts.
It's like anno but bad, just play anno.
While there are nice elements and interesting ideas, I simply can't recommend a game that is about logistics where said logistics are broken. And I'm not even talking about some questionable design where control over what should travel which way is deliberately gimped -- but when you do it properly, yet just trees stay in the camp, tools not taken to next building and the haulers just sitting there idle. no traffic at all on a nice segment. Also, this game is abandonware, no patches for over a year, radio silence, so don't expect it to get fixed. The only bright side is there's a demo so you can figure yourself, and probably can get handout keys from humble choice subs not using it.
