I’m not a big fan of deckbuilding card-battling sort of games, but I am a big fan of Gilligames so I bought it mainly just to show appreciation and support to the dev for putting out these peculiar little niche games. But as it turns out, this one is a ton of fun! I’ve been hooked since I bought it just a few days ago, and my 9-year-old daughter is too! The game definitely needs some more balancing because the regional bosses get brutally hard by the time you’re in your second or third region, and sometimes it seems like no matter what buffs and upgraded instruments I buy, I can’t compete. I expect this to get smoothed out over time. I’ve also seen some people complain about the use of AI in the making of the songs used in the game. Don’t listen to these clowns; they don’t realize how ridiculous they’re being. Asking a one-man dev team to drop everything and write and record 100+ songs from scratch to satisfy some stranger’s anti-AI grandstanding is absurd. If ever there was an acceptable use of generative AI in a video game, this is it. The songs are just rock-n-roll noise to indicate a song is being performed while you’re slinging your cards. Really solid start, hope there will be more card variation later, rn you mostly play basic cards with jsut a few special ones Appreciate the effort of live re-recording of AI generated songs (can't imagine the amount of work it'll take, there's a lot)
