Defend Sine Wave City from the evil WaveLord. Control the phase and frequency of your sine wave shield to match the incoming lasers, and save your city!
Sine Wave City is an arcade game in the style of space invaders, where the player controls a sine wave to stop incoming lasers. The sine wave is only effective at the peaks of the wave, so the player must shift phase and frequency to stop all incoming attacks.
Sine wave city is only playable with a gamepad. The left knob controls phase, and the right knob controls frequency. Each new level brings new challenges and varying laser patterns, but the sinewave shield gains new abilities to defend against the new threats. Try for a perfect score, and don't let any lasers hit the city!

Lucky me gets to write the first review for Sine Wave City... sigh. Sine Wave City is an abandoned early access 2D retro neon "arcade" game where instead of shooting the enemies, you form a sine wave at the bottom of the screen and you have to whack the bullets with the tops of your sine wave. Yeah, it's not a fun concept. The amusment from this game comes from an unintended source: It's completely terrible, perhaps one of the worst "games" on Steam. Little in the way of actual game development took place, this was slapped together with the godawful GameMaker Studio construction kit. Using a bad quality construction kit results in bad quality games, as Sine Wave City demonstrates. Resolution and controls are locked (which does not help the incredibly lazy "neon" "art" that was used due to lack of talent/budget), and here's another bit of amusement, the developer goes out of his way to insult PC gamers by disabling keyboard input and demanding that you use a console peasant childrens toy gamepad. That's unacceptable. It's understandable that the developer abandoned this pretty quickly, my wish is that they should have perhaps abandoned this prior to paying the $1…2 found this helpful
