About Snafu
*Warning* This game includes significant scares, disturbing events, disturbing audio and flashing lights. Please proceed at your own volition.
*The Estimated Completion Time For Snafu is Approximately 80-min*

What is the story behind Snafu?
You begin playing the Medieval Grow your Business Game with hopes and ambitions to make as much money as you can. Alibaba, the main NPC and caretaker of the game introduces what the game has to offer. However, as you begin to delve deeper into the world, Alibaba discovers a glitch, or virus of some sort. Something foreign has gotten into the system and has begun to terrorize everything this Medieval Grow your Business Game had to offer. NPCs begin to act strangely, textures begin to morph, and the Glitch known as Snafu begins to wonder the streets – especially at night fall. It is Alibaba’s hope that you make it to the main castle and unplug him from the game before Snafu completely takes over.

Throughout your journey, meet new NPCs and hear their tale - learn how Snafu has affected their "lives" and what you can do to ease their pains. They may not have long, anyhow...

What can I expect when I play Snafu?
Play a game within a game - It is your goal to save Alibaba from Snafu's terror; however, to reach him, you must level up, and make more money.
- You have access to over one hundred purchases,
- Raise your rank,
- Purchase your own home (Which may or may not be haunted...)
- Complete mini side-quests,
- Have access to 3 separate endings,
- And hear the stories the NPC's have to tell. It has not been easy for them, lately.
All of these steps are necessary in order to reach the Castle where Alibaba is held. You must progress through the game as originally intended with the hope to bring the Medieval Grow Your Business Game offline, for good, before Snafu can inflict any more damage. It's harsh, but sometimes when a file becomes so corrupt, you must take extreme measures...

There are many traps throughout the game you will want to avoid. But don't forget, Snafu is always watching and will toy with you until it is ready to truly take your life... It is your ambition to save Alibaba from the terrors of Snafu; however, Snafu will do its best to terrorize you along the way.

And here we are, another game... The Dev notes is usually my favorite part about writing a game's description. It usually has very little to do with the game, but rather, tells the incredible tale of developing the game... Maybe not so incredible?
As you can tell, Snafu is a significantly different approach to the style of games I am used to developing. You will usually see me create a bunch of "Realism", very scary, atmospheric games. However, with Snafu, I've taken a complete 360 and delved into Pixel & Low Polly design. I've also implemented a much larger open world than what I am used to. It's quite different, to say the least.
But, what I've also done which is quite new on my end is finally adding controller support! Super happy to be able to finally sit back, and play this thing with some random controller I may have lying around here. And, since we're talking about new things, Snafu also includes a full-on save-game system. Save the game (also auto save) and play where you've left off. I am usually very hesitant with adding save functionality to short horror games because I always fear that pausing / leaving the game for later will ruin the experience. However, Snafu has a longer play time than my average game, so I figured adding save game functionality for this title was a must. If I feel that the average play time of a game will exceed 80-100 min, I feel like I have no choice - save game it is!
Anyways, as always, I want to thank all my supporters, followers and customers. The fact that many of you all enjoy my creations truly means the world to me. As I've said many times, I will continue to build these games, experiment with new things here and there, and try to pump out the best product I can.
With that being said, I hope you enjoy what Snafu has to offer.
Cheers, everyone, and happy gaming!

What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise Elden Ring for its vast, atmospheric world and rewarding combat that delivers an incredible sense of achievement after overcoming punishing bosses, though they note the difficulty is genuinely challenging and relentless. Common complaints include that some boss fights (particularly Malenia) can feel frustratingly unfair, and a few players found the story obtuse and the pacing occasionally hampered by steep difficulty spikes that require grinding.
SNAFU is a deeply unserious jumpscare horror game in its rawest form, and somehow it works extremely well even though it really shouldn't. On paper, SNAFU isn't anything special. It's your run of the mill meta horror game where an innocent game gets infected by a self aware virus that now tortures its world and scares the player. Where it really separates itself is in its execution. The entity doesn't fight for the player's attention like games such as Doki Doki Literature Club or IMSCARED. Instead, it simply sees the player as a hindrance it has to deal with. That's where, in my opinion, the game really separates itself from the genre. It almost becomes a genre bending comedy. It never takes itself incredibly seriously, with jokes and unserious writing spread throughout the game, but that's exactly what makes it so special to me. A game that looks like it's only putting in half the effort and disguises itself as a tycoon style game still managed to scare me so badly more often than not that I got goosebumps. That's where the game is at its strongest. Its scares land almost every time, and the same goes for the tension. You genuinely feel terrified, and that's what makes it so s…3 found this helpful
One of my first Souls games, and what a crazy game! Elden Ring has broken me, challenged me, and hooked me like few other games. I completed it 100%, and every hour was worth it. The world is immense, dark, and spectacular. Combat demands a cool head and perseverance, and the game is merciless: there are bosses that will absolutely ruin your day… yes, Malenia, I'm talking about you. But that's precisely where the magic lies: when you finally defeat them, the feeling is incredible. It hurts, it frustrates, and it tests you, but it rewards like no other. A fantastic game. Highly, highly recommended.1 found this helpful
I like the idea behind it. Gameplay is similar to roblox tycoon games if you are familiar with them, with some horror elements. Now the horror part was terrible in my opinion. Scripted scenes with Snafu were good, but otherwise Snafu never felt like a threat whole game. I even afked and watched a youtube video while staring at a doorway with my flashlight to grind some money. Other parts of the game were mid too in my opinion, build your business part was boring, platforming was meh, find these items and exploration were annoying too but I don't like those types of elements inside games anyway, so that's subjective I guess. That's why I'm not recommending it, it was a bad tycoon and horror game, and other elements were annoying too. Along with overall story.
I really really dig this game and the unique mix of horror and incremental progression, wish there was more of a real threat instead of scripted jumpscares, but the puzzles, platforming an explorations are top tier, recommend this to anyone who wants a cool 3-4 hour unique horror experience
best horror game i ever played + a good idle/incremental
4.3 I did enjoy the game but it was extremely light in horror, mostly just some jumpscares and no real 'danger' overall. The core gameplay loop was interesting albeit a couple times the price jumps was a bit high but still just meant I would run around a bit. Story was a little obtuse and the final ending obfuscated it a little but still fun none the less.
