Snakebird Primer

This is just Snakebird, except the puzzles are much easier. And I think that's part of the problem. The target audience for this game is people who, after seeing Snakebird has these cute graphics, proceed to think it must be a game "for kids" that is very easy. This one is for you. Its puzzles are easy, focused on a single idea that is clued abundantly. Or perhaps, if you found Snakebird to be too hard, this game lets you build up the ideas needed for the main game. But if you've already finished Snakebird, there's not much to offer here. You'll finish the whole game quickly, in like an hour or so. There's nothing particularly exciting. This is all okay, of course; the game [i]is[/i] meant for newer players. Just make sure you know that. I feel like this could have been integrated with the actual game, instead of being sold separately. That's why I ended up with a "not recommended" rating. It's a weak one; it's still okay, you'll likely still have some fun. Just, it didn't have to be separated.

puzzle difficulty varies greatly, from "that was such an obvious solution i wouldn't even call it a puzzle" to "how the hell do i even do this". the learning curve is pretty steep, too. overall a fun way to spend a few hours, if you have a high threshold for frustration.

If you played the original, this game is a waste of time. If you are an experienced puzzle game player, just ignore this one and play the 2015 original. Otherwise, this can be a short and fun experience with lovely visuals :)

If you're into puzzle games this is really fun. 100% in about 2 hours. Not too challenging either. Some puzzles you need to think about, majority of them you can complete on autopilot.
