I've been playing a lot of sokoban games lately and I'm blown away that people can keep coming up with unique takes on the genre. Like Sokosignal with its signal-based mechanics (which feel mostly magnetic to me but do get more complicated as you progress). Tough fun. Sokosignal's a challenging sokoban puzzler with unique "magnetic" mechanics. Huge game with 83 levels broken into 6 "worlds" with increasingly complex mechanics. Sokosignal's plain presentation belies the cleverness of its puzzles. In many cases, you not only have to move blocks onto target squares, but also exit the room without accidentally moving anything out of position. The latter is made particularly vexing by the nature of the game's Sokoban twist, which overlaps somewhat with magnetism and simultaneous movement, yet remains distinct enough that I didn't feel I was retreading old material. The puzzles are kept small to test your understanding of the concepts rather than overwhelm you with scope or complexity, and yet solving every puzzle is no small feat. Experimentation can help you discover approaches, but mindless attempts at brute-forcing can stagnate your progress, especially in the latter half of the game. As formidable as some puzzles initially appear, they often unravel with an elegant or clever solution. As someone who typically avoids simultaneous movement puzzles, I was rather impressed.
