About Some of You May Die
Some of You May Die is a strategic autobattler where you assemble a team of heroes and upgrade them to absurd levels of power. Take on the singleplayer campaign or test your skill against other players in Online PvP!
Some of You May Die is heavily inspired by Auto Chess but takes the strategy to a new level. You can stack upgrades in addition to heroes and you have full control over your heroes' stat sheet.
Want a high armor priest who reflects incoming damage? You can do that.
How about an assassin with lightning fast movement speed who skips your opponents defensive line entirely? Yup.
Breaking the game IS the game. Each hero offered in the shop has a random combination of boosted attributes and an ability. These combinations create a surprising amount of variety match to match. On top of that, the highly synergistic upgrades allow you to create ultra-powerful teams that feel completely unstoppable - until your opponent reaches for the perfect counter.
Each match uses a random pool of heroes, creating an ever-shifting meta that players have to solve for on the spot if they want to succeed.
Matches are tactical, exciting, and will have you on the edge of your seat right up to the end!

good potential, needs a bit more time to mature. It's difficult to understand what's going on, the game doesn't convey that very well. Some stats don't make a lot of sense (attack speed is mana regen on mana unit for example). It should have been renamed that. multiplayer have you sit in a lobby for a minute or two, it's too long, it's a problem with the matchmaking system itself.1 found this helpful
No cloud save. Lulz.
I really like this game, and I have played it for 34 hours so far. It's simple, fun to play, and reasonably challenging. If you think it looks like a game that you might enjoy, then you probably would like it.
This is a terribly unbalanced game with zero meta progression, so it lacks in any area that would make it exceptional. It is kind of cute and quirky for a run or twelve but it gets really dumb and hard for no reason other than to prolong your game play. I dislike that games that artificially make the hours longer by making it stupid hard for the sake of making it stupid hard. Adding any kind of meta progression would make this game replayable but as it is, this one is an easy miss.
At first, i really enjoyed this game. There were interesting combinations to use, teams were well balanced and fun, and there was just enough variety to want to come back for another run. Then i got to trying to unlock new modes... The first two modes were not a challenge at all, but when i got to the glass cannon mode, the game became a joke. I would have done 20+ runs easily, and not once could i progress past the second area. In order to beat the game on glass cannon, you would need to have THE most perfect run, and get multiple summoners with double boosted crits in order to have any chance of surviving. It's all but impossible... So basically, i'm unable to get past glass cannon mode and unlock the more enjoyable modes because of the unbelivably imbalanced bs in glass cannon mode. The game was an average game before i ran into these problems, but with the inability to progress, it falls into the garbage bin category. Don't waste your time with this one.
Day one had some issues, honestly. Couldn't recommend the game at that point. But the dev recently released a patch addressing everything that was wrong. Multiplayer issue's solved, and singleplayer balance is now great. At this point, I can confidently recommend it. Now as for the game itself: It's a great, traditional auto-battler. The sheer number of options makes every run interesting. After the rebalance, the challenge is still there even from the beginning, but it's fair now, and fun. Plus, the difficulty caps out waaaay above my current abilities, which for me, is great replayability. I'll keep re-running until I beat it all. The price might be a couple bucks higher than the average for something of this genre I guess, but it's worth its cost. If you're a fan of challenging auto-battlers, and a lot of mechanics/heroes/abilities to gradually understand through replay, then I highly recommend it.
