About Soul Harvest
SOUL HARVEST is a fast paced local multiplayer strategy game set in the depths of Hell!
Play as arch-demons fighting each other in order to claim ownership of regions of the underworld. Using the power of the souls they harvest, the fiends can erect structures made of flesh, summon hellish minions and unleash diabolical magiks to help them defeat their foes.
No advanced RTS skill is required : our goal is to appeal to all players, whether they are die-hard strategy gamers or just local multiplayer fans.
The controls are pretty simple: there are only 4 buttons!
You can play with up to 4 players, so gather some friends and gamepads and start the ritual!

- 4 playable factions (Cruelty, Bitterness, Excess and Transgression)
- 2 versus game modes (Elimination and Citadel)
- 4 map biomes
- A simple tutorial

Simple, fast paced. Lot of fun playing this. Don't take it too serious as it's just another fun free to play game, but well worth checking out and having some fun with a group of friends.4 found this helpful
"Soul Harvest" is a rather badly made 2D retro pixel top down RTS designed for local multiplayer because I guess the developers couldn't work out netcode. Control a bunch of pixel blobs and bash up other pixel blobs with a mediocre heavy metal soundtrack and a "Played too much DooM" theme... or instead, join the 12 million gamers on Steam who completely ignored this. This features really godawful, lazy pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded [i]despite[/i] the bad graphics, not because of them. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $1 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. I liked it. I couldn't get anyone I know to pay it with me though. Odd game, but a free game.
