Soulstone Survivors

For the genre it is very competent and polished, but it is all grind and nothing really exciting. You are either OP or get crushed, but I don't have many moments where I feel tension that I can overcome through tactics. That said, there are really cool build synergies, and understanding those synergies is important to beat higher difficulties. You will spend dozens of hours grinding to get to those difficulties.

I liked everything!!!

When I first got this game in early access it had like 4 playable characters and one stage. Even a few updates later when there were 10 characters and 3 or 4 maps I was satisfied with the purchase and really enjoyed the game. Never in my wildest dreams did I think the game would become THIS big and this full featured. I was utterly shocked when voice acting was added for the characters. The devs did an unbelievable job of supporting this game over time, kudos.

Amazing Survivors-like game!!! Great metaprogression and plenty of skilltrees and secrets to keep you coming back. Great builds to experiment with each run and even when you lose, you still make some sort of progress. Love it and don't wanna stop playing! Keep it up devs!

If you like Vampire Survivors, Halls of Torment etc etc, this is for you. Sometimes I like to pick up my Steam Deck, flick it on and just sink an hour into something that requires very little thought or strenuous effort after a long day. Soulstone scratches that itch perfectly. It is everything you probably expect if you are familiar with survivor games but it has a level of polish and immense depth I did not expect. There are tonnes of characters each with their own abilities. There are tons of achievements, tons of weapons, tons of synergies...I have been playing around 13 hours and I have barely unlocked anything. This one should keep me busy. Perfect pick up and play game.
