Pretty good idle game, which has a pretty bad English translation but it doesn't matter. There is a plot to this game - you are a lady called Nine who is *AN AMAZING BLACKSMITH* and you just won a competition where you got S Rank and beat everyone. You have ambitions to become Rank Z like your father... or beyond! But your father writes you a letter FORBIDDING YOU TO BE A BLACKSMITH until you learn how to run his failing blacksmith family business and train your numpty apprentices so they're good enough to make an item called the "ultweapon soul smith" at a good enough quality that it has a soul. The plot... doesn't matter much, haha. Mostly, to run this business, you're balancing between putting resources into a group of adventurers (who gather raw materials and special items), and putting resources into your blacksmiths who make items which get bought. When the blacksmiths get good, they generate "souls" which unlock new and better and harder weapons to craft. Which they might not be good enough to make yet. So you can let blacksmiths go, and they leave a pile of souls which you can spend on various upgrades. And hire new, better blacksmiths. But also! The adventurers have …5 found this helpful
Soul Smith of the Kingdom is a relaxed, incremental management simulation that blends crafting, light strategy, and RPG-style progression into a gentle medieval fantasy setting. Developed by Inu to Neko and published by Starship Studio, the game places players in charge of a blacksmith workshop whose reputation and success grow steadily over time. Rather than emphasizing tension or constant decision pressure, it focuses on long-term development, careful planning, and the quiet satisfaction of watching systems gradually improve through player guidance. The premise centers on restoring the prestige of a once-famous smithing workshop. Players oversee daily operations by assigning smiths to forge weapons, manage materials, and train their workforce. Progress is built around repetition and refinement: crafting items generates income and experience, which in turn unlock better tools, more capable artisans, and higher-quality blueprints. This loop gives the game a strong idle-game sensibility, where efficiency and patience are rewarded more than rapid reactions or complex micromanagement. Crafting itself forms the backbone of the experience. Weapons are produced through layered processe…2 found this helpful
Okay. The english is pretty bad :) But underneath the gibberish is a really cool game. Not too complex but engaging and fun to play.2 found this helpful
Not sure why people would make a fuss over the translation.1 found this helpful
The main mechanics are nice but the minigames feel impossible after the difficulty starts to scale up. This might be my least favorite Inu to Neko game, but I still like this game. The character design is great and I love that they appear in other Inu to Neko games. I would recommend the game to any Inu to Neko fans, however anyone new to the series should probably stick to Ring Witch Meister or Nono's Magic General Shop.
I gotta say I adore this game. The translation is rough but the gameplay is quite satisfying. I REALLY hope to see more English translations from Inu to Neko - a lot of them seem interesting! TL:DR - A Blacksmith Shop Management Simulator Idle Game in which you manage apprentice blacksmiths to create and sell weapons. Through the systems you will manage a team of resource gatherers and blacksmiths, using profit to level various attributes with the end goal of creating "50 Unique Soul Weapons". It's relaxing and satisfying to manage everything. It's cheap and pretty fun, recommended if you like management games but want a break from graphic intensity or just want to grind through some menus for an hour or two.
