This game desperately needs something like an undo button, save points, something. Finally quit after 5 hours of trying and failing to bash chunks and rods of metal into particular shapes in a rather jank physics puzzle game. Maybe I'm overthinking it or too much of a perfectionist but having to restart a project entirely from scratch after failing to find the perfect impact angle for the 3rd or 4th metal rod in the bunch that has to be bashed into this perfect 180 degree curve and every attempt to get it there only makes it worse. I'm trying to be fair, the game does what it says on the box but I found the entire experience more frustrating than rewarding.2 found this helpful
i dont really like games that can block you in the progression because i didnt got enough money to get materials needed for a mission just because i bought one thing . Great...2 found this helpful
No joke, this is harder than Dark Souls...or I am just very very very bad at the game.1 found this helpful
I have to confess: I cheated. I cheated my way through this game because I have a toddler and zero time. Instead of crafting everything by banging on it with the hammer, I just cut the outlines and cobbled them together. I got right up to the last three items and just could not figure out how they were put together. The voices sound like they're AI, and it's really not very good AI, either. Otherwise, the art is cute and there are no monsters to fight, which is a plus. The hammer controls are wonky and my wrist really can't take that much back-and-forth, but overall it's not bad for very casual fun.
Deceptively large game.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS GAME!!! when the term "blacksmithing" comes to mind when looking for a game, this is probably the best possible rendition of the concept, i struggle to think of a better way to execute it, outside of a VR experience, but even then the shear amount of content is staggering. But there is a very big "BUT" to be added here, it is very tedious, im personally a fan of tedious, delicate crafts in real life, so i am able to run this game for upwards of 5 hours and be only mildly burnt out, it takes very light mouse movements to get everything juuuuuust right. another issue is that on top of being tedious, it is NOT intuitive, the controls take a while to get used to, and there is very little hand holding, but honestly i wouldnt have it any other way, it has a very specific gameplay loop and simplifying the controls would remove from the experience. everything above ive personally not been affected by negatively, and hope like minded people find this enjoyable, but the following are my actual negatives. 1. ropes, like many things in this game, you must have a plan of action before you begin building, you need to plan where things will go, how they will be forged or …
