Space Between Worlds is a compact and unusual puzzle experience that uses one extremely simple concept to explore surprisingly emotional ideas. Rather than building its identity around complicated mechanics, detailed characters, or lengthy dialogue, the game focuses on the physical distance separating people and how that distance can represent their emotional relationships. Developed by 4H StudioLab and published by 4H StudioLab and GrabTheGames, it began as a project created during the Internet Festival Game Jam of Pisa in roughly 40 hours, where it won first prize. Those small-scale origins remain visible in the finished experience, but its simplicity feels deliberate rather than merely restrictive. The central mechanic revolves around proxemics, where physical positioning communicates emotional closeness or separation. Players control a square avatar and navigate abstract situations populated by other shapes. Moving closer to something, keeping your distance, or finding the correct position becomes the foundation of each puzzle.
