About Space Time
Hello and welcome to Space Time! Your goal is to shoot and destroy space rocks to raise your score. The real enemy is the clock...that's right time itself is against you. There are 4 game modes and 9 unlockable ships (including 2 secret ships) each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Enjoy beautiful backgrounds and awesome music as you blast your targets away. Have fun unlocking all 25 Achievements and get that 100%. Try the brand new multiplayer game mode which is fully compatible with Steam Remote Play Together.
Game Modes:
- Mission Critical: Requires 1000 points more each level for 10 levels.
- Double Down: Requires double the score of the last level for 10 levels.
- Defiance: Pits your score against an enemy score in a tug of war style endurance match.
- Head-2-Head: A multiplayer mode where you try to beat your friend's score in a 1,2 or 3 round match.
Accessibility: Space Time was designed so that it can be played one-handed with either hand for those who suffer from an injury or disability which prevents the use of both hands. I bought this game primarily because it had zero real reviews, and it wasn't hard to see why. Space Time is like an objectively worse version of Space Harrier, and is (as far as I can tell) unwinnable without cheating. The game's main mode, Mission Critical, involves you piloting a ship drawn in MS Paint and shooting at cornflake-shaped asteroids with the goal being to destroy them before they blow up by themselves. This is where the problems with this game become immediately evident: the cornflakes have a crapton of health, have no indication of what their remaining time until self-destruct is, and give a random number of points on destruction. Given that your goal is to get 1000 points in 90 seconds on the easiest difficulty, and that cornflakes can give as little as 1 point when destroyed (assuming they don't self-destruct just before you destroy them, which is frustratingly common), you can imagine how bad that is. There are unlockables, but good luck getting them without using an external hacking program. The highest score I was able to reach was around 800, and that was with the game gracing me with multiple 200-point cornflakes. The developer appears to have aband…1 found this helpful
