Space Ship Infinity

Space Ship Infinity is a poorly made 2D top down twin stick shooter. It looks like it's an Asteroids/SpaceWar! ripoff, but it's even more shallow than those games as movement is a simple WASD affair and you do your aiming with the mouse... it's a bit of a joke just how bad this shovelware is. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. I think the game is very creative its a little rough around the edges but it is a good game side note: i would like it if the game had a system where it would get harder every 500 points.

I hate being the first to thumb down the first published game to Steam by an indie dev. It doesn't appear to be an asset flip, it's not blatantly tied to the purchase of positive reviews, etc. However, the sluggish pacing of this game makes it just not fun. This is your Asteroids-ish space shooter. The screen does not wrap around, so keep that in mind. Ammo is unlimited. The shop doesn't appear to work. You can hold down the mouse button to shoot so you don't have to worry about clicking like a mad man. The pixel art is acceptably generic. You can at least tell what is going on. The pacing and lack of variety severely hinder this game. This feels like Asteroids except instead of space, it's in tar. There's not much to see as you progress either. 20-30 minutes should net all of the achievements. There's no story anywhere to make this universe feel like it matters. This game needs some additional work and content. I'll revisit if there's a major update and reconsider this review.

Games of this type are often extremely difficult to play. Not this one. Great balance.

Simple and fun game, you can finish in no time and earn some achievements.
