"SpaceDRG" is a badly made 2D retro pixel action "shooter" that has you scrape around a nauseatingly animated 2D environment fighting letters, because, uh, all the good ideas for video games were taken and this was all that was left. Bonus points deducted for using GameMaker Studio, blight on gaming that it is. I wonder why this failed so badly? This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded [i]despite[/i] the bad graphics, not because of them. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. get the game some times your a simple human being strategically pressing the letters DRG on your keyboard, OTHER TIMES YOU DRINK 50 GALLONS OF POOL WATER WITH SOME BLEACH AS YOU MURDER EVERY THING IN SIGHT WHILE GOING 69 MILES PER HOUR. ahem 10/10 game.1 found this helpful
This game sucks. It just simply is not fun. Refund if you can.
[h1] Fun & Challenging [/h1] SpaceDRG is one of the more unique games I've played. This was enough of a challenge without being too frustrating. The hidden achievement was cool in my opinion..I wasn't expecting the game to have a ending of sorts. It's pretty fun, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're not able to handle dizziness or colorful/flashy visuals.
