About Speakerman

Speakerman is a retro-styled experience themed after 80’s MS-DOS PC games, featuring puzzle-platforming, exploration and collect-a-thon gameplay elements. It features classic CGA graphics (with a twist) and classic PC Speaker sounds mixed with modern music.

From the start you can pick either Open World Mode or Story Mode. The Open World Mode offers non-engaging fun during which you can listen to podcasts or music without being fully distracted, though should you delve deep into it there’s plenty to find and unlock, including difficult-to-discover easter eggs. Story Mode offers a challenging and thought-provoking platforming experience, and is recommended for experienced gamers who have played Open World Mode for at least a few hours.

I LOVE this game. I had a blast. Unfortunately I'm stuck at certain spots in both worlds. (Hence why my game time is lower). I really wish there was some sort of guide cause I'd love to complete this game and see the rest of what I'm missing out on. This game has become one of my favourites now. I had a lot of fun.

When I first saw the game called Goody by Opera software (we had it translated to Russian and for some reason its name was actually translated as "City") back in 1990s, I thought it would be cool to have the game where you just explore huge city using different ways and interconnections (and, of course, ladder!). This game captures exactly that - the urban atmosphere of Goody's town with its' challenges, precise jumps and exploration. Big thanks to the dev! Recommended (especially for fans of 8088' CGA nostalgia).

From the very start this game demands you make incredibly precise and difficult jumps. It is also quite slow and clunky. And by slow I mean it wastes so much time. Those earlier boring jumps? You'll miss often and have to take time getting back to where you were. You also need to interact NPCs to progress at many points but they either speak incredibly slowly with no way for the player to advance dialogue on their own or they move so slowly to get to where they need to go to help you. They waste soooo much time. And to top this boring package off nicely, there's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ triggered joke in this. I'll happily refund this one and insist that you just stay away from it too. It'll just waste your time that you could be putting into doing all kinds of other fun things.

This is a fun little game to explore with amazing music. I highly recommend doing Story Mode first, and then exploring Open World Mode. Hint: The story has a secret ending.
