Speedollama is a wonderfully unhinged side-scrolling shooter that proves indie developers can still find fresh ideas within familiar genres. Developed and published by Chaosmonger Studio, the game throws players into an outrageous conflict where an ancient llama calls upon mercenaries to repel an invading alpaca force determined to wipe out its species and dominate the planet. It is a premise that sounds absurd on paper, yet Speedollama embraces that absurdity with confidence, creating an experience that feels equal parts retro action game and animated comedy. Rather than attempting to tell an emotionally complex story, the game focuses on delivering a nonstop barrage of explosions, jokes, and fast-paced action that immediately establishes its identity. At its core, Speedollama is built around momentum. Every level encourages players to keep moving, mowing down enemies while navigating environmental hazards and collecting upgrades along the way. The influence of classic run-and-gun titles is impossible to miss, but Chaosmonger Studio manages to avoid simple imitation by injecting its own personality into every encounter. Don't waste your time on this game. Pros: - Very nice spritework. - The bones for a decent run n' gun are there. Cons: - Everything else.
Cool little game, about super-soldier llamas and ultracide pixelated violence. I really enjoyed it, despite the alpaca murders. As the game reminds you at the beginning, remember they’re just pixels and enjoy!
If you like alpacas, it's possible you could have a bad time. It's a pretty good time though lol.
Fast, silly, loud, fun. Can't add much, I am freaking enjoy it. It's also deceptively hard even though it flows very well. Getting all those crystals it's not trivial. Crazy good and hilarious visuals too!
You want guns and grenades on the go with the most challenging gameplay in a Llama? Gallop on in the sights of your enemy and run, jump and shoot a lot for the good fight!
