About Unrelaxing Quacks

Survivors but fast. Unrelaxing Quacks is not a waiting simulator, it's a fast paced game where you're thrown into the action from the first few seconds. If you kill enemies fast they will spawn faster. Once you get past the tutorial and holy duck and play on real difficulty with corruption enabled, every levelup makes the game more difficult. Every weapon and upgrade you choose scales things further, allowing builds that level up fast to keep the game difficult.

Play as one of the 14 different characters, but beware, most of them only get one life, and once they die you will have to recover their body to play them again.

Multiple game modes allow you to further customize the experience, from faster mode that only lasts 2 minutes, a noob mode for those truly bad at the game, or a corruption mode that increases corruption levels at maximum from the first second of the game.
  • Dynamically increasing difficulty.
  • Corruption system for extra difficult gameplay in lategame.
  • Noob and holy mode for beginners and noobs.
  • 14 playable and unique characters
  • 16 enemy types
  • 33 weapons
  • 6 unique game modes which you can mix and match to alter the experience
  • Large map with different zones, landmarks, teleports and shops
Survive until the timer runs out and escape through the gate to win the game. Every enemy you kill drops experience, with more experience you level up and unlock new weapons and upgrades. During gameplay, you unlock new characters, game modes and achievements, which stays permanently unlocked. There is no other meta progression influencing the game itself, so you better learn the game and the map, and enjoy a true roguelike experience.

Still not fixed on steam deck. Reported the issue back when the game released, the dev confirmed they have been able to reproduce the issue on a steam deck oled, and a fix is coming. Nothing have happened since then. Shame, it would have been a nice showcase for games made in rust.

I was playing this game and lost track of time. (I had the playtest version) The dev team is extremely responsive, everything was fixed as soon as mentioned, and even features were proposed to us while playing. I think this is perfect if you wanna "waste" time doing something mindlessly. Overall: 7.2/10

Unrelaxing Quacks is a deliberately high-pressure, skill-first action game that takes pleasure in subverting expectations implied by its playful name. Developed and published by LogLog Games, the title throws players into relentless top-down arenas where speed, positioning, and split-second decisions matter far more than long-term unlocks or safety nets. From the opening moments, it becomes clear that this is a game designed to keep players on edge, prioritizing constant motion and escalating danger over comfort or gradual onboarding. The core loop is straightforward but tightly wound. Each run begins fresh, placing the player in a large, open arena populated by enemies that spawn aggressively and in increasing numbers. Defeating foes grants experience, which leads to level-ups and temporary power gains such as new weapons, modifiers, or stat boosts. However, every step forward also sharpens the knife: enemies scale alongside the player’s progress, growing tougher, faster, and more numerous the better you perform. This push-and-pull dynamic ensures that success never leads to complacency, and moments of empowerment are quickly balanced by rising chaos. Character choice adds an ex…

-Terribly unpolished -Essentially everything is hidden - you don't know what things do -Doesn't properly support 4k (font size is ridiculously small) = Disappointment. PRO - immediate fun as typical for the genre / various game modes are ok NEUTRAL - some obscure mechanics / builds dont feel that different one from another / no meta progression CONS - overpriced for the offer / full controller support is kinda broken / weapons variety is not that great and even the progression and improvement of the various guns never reaches a satisfing point (no max level ? no final evolution or whatsoever unfortuantely ) / no real end level boss Unrelaxing Quacks is not a bad game but unfortunately it does not shine on any aspect compared to others in the genre , and so it gets a little boring too fast and will not be the one to spend a lot of hours in it for sure Considering it costs more than 5 cash I would say you should really spend your money elsewhere and pick up a better one with ease and you will get simply much more fun

Fun little game! It was a little frustrating at first cause it was my first "survivorlike" but after you get the hang of it, it can get pretty addicting. Some feedback: - Sometimes items spawn in the water and I can't get to them - Trees block your vision and it can get annoying when you can't tell what item is behind a tree - UI elements are small and hard to see on my 4k monitor, would be nice to have a scaling option - Gun drops from enemies don't seem to be bound by the gun limit, not sure if intended but you can get pretty OP with this
