About Spoids

Spoids is a challenging throwback to the original brand of tower defense games. You'll travel from planet to planet using your powerful arsenal to hold back the Spoids long enough to complete your missions. With a constant stream of enemies that relentlessly push you to your limit, there is only one question: Will you stop the Spoids?
UNIQUE STORY MISSIONS
As the commander of the Remote Defense Space Station, you will respond to distress calls of those who are being attacked by the invading Spoids. New missions will add more perils to deal with in your fight against the Spoids.UNLOCK MEDALS AT EACH PLANET
With the unique objective based system, Spoids offers the ability to progress through the game regardless if you are a tower defense pro or a newcomer to the scene. The more objectives you complete, the higher the medal you will obtain.UNLIMITED WAVE MODE
After obtaining a Gold medal or higher, you will unlock the unlimited wave mode for that planet adding hours of replayability. See how long you can survive on each map and reach new highscores.Additional Features:
- Multiple Spoids and weapon types to master: As new Spoids arrive that wreck new havoc on your defenses, new towers will unlock to help combat them.

Another "would have been" great Tower Defense game . . . completely destroyed by the absurd and unreasonable difficulty level set by the equally absurd and unreasonable Devs! Do these guys even try their own games before releasing them??! Or are all these Devs super-humans or androids now? . . .There is seemingly no 'defenses' anymore for these terribly unbalanced and self-destructive TD games!! So just use 'Me' friends, free of charge, as your last layer of defense here: You can safely save your time, money, and energy by skipping that one! . . . And you're welcome!! ;)33 found this helpful

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…2 found this helpful
I've played better games for free that ran on Adobe Flash. To start with, the game mechanic that you must survive for an amount of time rather than complete an amount of waves is interesting, especially since there's a ranking system based around it. Survive for longer, gain a new medal. The game does also succeed in giving off an old-school Adobe Flash tower defense vibe, which is the whole reason I paid for it. I'm a sucker for tower defense, so I figured spending half a buck would be worth my time for a Steam tower defense game. Boy was I wrong. For starters, Spoids does not follow standard mechanical conventions of the genre. You cannot upgrade your towers, which causes a problem that I'll get into on the next paragraph. Additionally, this is the kind of tower defense game that chucks the same units at you every level. Each level gets a new one, but it just gets added to the pool with the others you saw before. This is fine in of itself, but this is also the kind of tower defense game where the units you're fighting do get stronger per wave. However, unlike in a game such as GemCraft, there is no way I know of to see how much health an enemy unit has, which means I have no id…
its okay, not much to say about the game, im not very good a td games though
This is a pretty cool TD game. Interesting levels and funny voice acting.
