Space Panic Defense

I'm not really sure if Space Panic Defense is an asset flip. Some elements of this game certainly make it seem like the developer put some effort into assembling some kind of original here. On the other hand, a lot of the game assets don't seem like they were created by the developer, but they haven't credited any asset creators for supplying assets, which might be a case of plagiarism. There's no evidence, so we need to give the benefit of the doubt... regardless, asset flip or not, the quality here is indistinguishable from many asset flip/cash grab scams, and that's a problem in itself. The sci-fi themed tower defense is very simplistic, small and limited in scope and ambition. This feels more like a tech demo, proof of concept or student homework assignment rather than a fully fledged product designed for PC gamers. As such it doesn't offer any real value as a serious PC game. It doesn't make sense that the highly detailed 3D tower assets were created for a game with only 2 playable levels... this is very suspicious. I'm torn with this game. I like it, but at the same time I'm disappointed. Pros: It's a tidy little game. Looks good. Only 1 bug (very annoying one mind you) Has a 4x speed. Cons: Only 4 levels. Limited depth. It's a very grindy game. Towers are unbalanced. The UI is ordinary at best. Levels don't appear to get harder the higher up you go. Even though it implies you can buy gems for coin, the menu won't let you. Only has a 4x speed. The grinding nature of the game, it'd be good to have a x100 speed. Or higher. No health bars. The annoying bug: The disruptor sound cannot be shut off. Turn off all sounds and it drones on. I guess it's appropriately named. Poral tower is way too op. It's too easy to portal lock the enemies to an easy win. It should probably have some sort of immunity over time. Nice game. It's 5 years old, so I doubt we'll see any updates.

For under $2 . it's a fine little TD. Looks good. Plays fine. fun for about 4 hours. (grind to get the remaining towers is a bit of a slough) and needs more map / enemies .

Do not buy. Game could be nice, everything is made very cool. But there's only one game mode - infinite wave. And only 4 maps. You can unlock weapons, etc. But what for? Once I built all available towers, upgraded it and left the game on it's own for the whole night. In the morning I found that waves still running and CPU is on high load. And I just quit. Well, I opened some weapons. But why? Why the hell have I done this? Even for the price of dirt, it gives you only disappointment and feeling of undone.
