About Spooky Express
Take charge of the Spooky Express; the only rail service willing to carry the undead passengers of deepest, darkest Trainsylvania. In your new role you'll plan routes and lay train tracks to meet your creepy commuters' demands, and create a rail network spanning more than 200 thoughtfully designed levels. Each monster has a home of their own: take the vampires to their coffins and the zombies to their graves, and escort the interloping humans away before they’re snacked upon. There’s only room for one at a time in the passenger car and the track can’t cross itself, so plot your route carefully, lay the tracks, and don't let the train miss its stops.Trainsylvania spans a host of unique locations, with each puzzle forming a cosy diorama, complete with spooky soundtrack. Whether you're puzzling through the Pumpkin Patch, meandering through the Morbid Manor, or investigating the Impish Inferno, you'll find playful touches and surprises around every corner.🦇 An elegant, playful puzzler, jam-packed with monsters and mechanics.🚂 Thoughtfully designed puzzles which expertly balance complexity and approachability.🎃 Created by the award-winning designers of A Monster's Expedition, A Good Snowman Is Hard To Build, Cosmic Express and more.🎨 Featuring several delightful comics from David Hellman and Zac Gorman.🎵 Accompanied by a haunting soundtrack from Priscilla Snow.

Difficulty : 3/5 (Rather Hard) Global : 4/5 (Great) My website : The Review Principle Curator page : Anokturnus You know, among all the Draknek & Friends games, Cosmic Express has always been the most "underdeveloped". I'm not saying it's a bad game or anything like that but when you purely look at its core, there were a few mechanics but not much going on. It settled to be a pure pathfinding game and that's all, that's why I wasn't surprised to see a "sequel" was being made. Infuse Cosmic Express with a new Halloween setting and related puzzle mechanics revolving around fear and you get Spooky Express, which we'll see is not Cosmic Express 2 and plays completely differently from its predecessor. I know it's a bit annoying but I can't really review Spooky Express without referencing Cosmic Express, sorry for that. Spooky Express opens with a first world that teaches you the basics: you drive a train and you must take all the passengers aboard, drive them to their stop and then reach the exit. The first major difference with Cosmic Express is the number of seats available …10 found this helpful
I played it almost every day 10-15 minutes before going to bed. It's cute and puzzles are on good complexity/engagement ratio.1 found this helpful
Looking forward to rebuying this when it comes to Nintendo Switch.1 found this helpful
I received a free key from the developer I've played Cosmic Express and Sokobond Express, and I liked both of those (although Cosmic Express got too hard), but I liked Spooky Express a lot more! The puzzles felt more accessible, and the combination of the monster powers/mechanics made it more interesting with it not being just a route building puzzle, but also figuring out what exactly needs to trigger. Some really neat puzzles and also some difficult ones. There's a hint system where it shows you part of the track solution, and that was very helpful. I also loved the presentation of the game - the visuals, music, and the comics for each world! Each world has its own comic that introduces the characters/mechanics of that world, and it's super cute.1 found this helpful
Conductor dropped me off next to a Zombie because he had a grave quota to fill. 0/10, wouldn't ride again.
