It's... Okay. Nothing too... Eh... Complicated? Too fun? Overly emotional? Yeah. It's just there... You find items and place them. There are two H.O. scenes per area (same scene x2). Story is........... Crazy? Weird? Doesn't make much sense? I don't really hate it... I mean... It gave me something to do... But otherwise... Eh. ~~~impassive state~~~

Seemed fairly mediocre, even as 10+ year old point-and-click - puzzle games go. But, its good enough to buy when on sale and not feel like I got ripped off. I wish there was a "meh" rating available, but there isn't. Ultimately I feel this game was a 3/5. There's a few translation to English changes I would have made, but nothing that stood in the way of the game. As usual, the story seemed overly simplistic. But its passable enough. My only significant complaint is that throughout the game you find yourself picking up items, but you have no idea why. Ultimately its below average for this developer. But good enough for a few hours enjoyment.

I usually really like Alawar's HO games, but this one was definitely NOT one of them. Like, okay, I can excuse the ugly graphics and "animations" cause the game is like 10+ years old, but I can't excuse the facts that: 1. The game has practically no story and thus no strong incentive to do the things you do 2. Despite it being a HO game, there's surprisingly few HO scenes (most of which are really dull to look at, one scene in the second half literally only features a backdrop of a singular object in the center of the screen with like fifteen hidden items lazily scattered around it) 3. The puzzles are either mind-numbingly easy where I question why the game even gives you the option to skip them, or so atrociously tedious that pressing the skip button is more fun than actually trying to solve them

Game has a bug that bricks ability to continue about 25m in. Not worth the $1.75 I spent on this one. Alawar normally is better than this.

Psycho Train is an average Hidden Object Mystery, where a mother must defeat a conductor ghost who has pulled her and her daughter into a warped underworld version of their local railway. I don't exactly understand the root causes of this or why the ghost has amassed this much power, but there's a long trail of his past crimes for the protagonist to uncover. The atmosphere is nice and the gearpunk mechanisms are fun to unravel. There's definitely better games out there, but feel free to pick it up if you like the eerie aesthetics.

Just the constant re-skin with nothing new. You turn off music and it silences all cut-scene dialogue. No real challenges and story is pretty mundane. Maybe on a very big sale but otherwise there is better for the price.
