✦ AI summary
Players appreciate Sprint City's fun casual gameplay and enjoyable moments with friends, but criticize its simplified mechanics compared to its predecessor Speedrunners, citing reduced skill depth, missing local multiplayer, poor UI design, and a nearly dead player base that makes solo matchmaking impossible. The game works best as a casual party experience with friends rather than as a competitive speedrunning alternative.
UI is awful and the no Local multiplayer really hinder this game.5 found this helpful

Sprint City is a highly disappointing Speedrunners clone that offers significantly fewer features and customization options. It does, however, introduce casual additions like the wall climb, but it completely undermine the core momentum-based swinging mechanics by removing the precision and strict timing required to swing efficiently. it destroys the skill gap that made its predecessor challenging and replaces with a dull, automated chore.
This game can be fun with friends if you never played speedrunners or only casually played it with friends. But on your own, if you played speedrunners for hundreds of hours solo before, you won't enjoy it, because *for competitive play*, its watered down version of speedrunners and it seems like you never get to go as fast as speedrunners. So I didn't enjoy it and i dont recommend it if you are looking for something like that. Also in the last month total of like 10 people played the game. Its impossible to find a match on your own. You have to bring friends. https://steamdb.info/app/4191250/charts/#1m This review is just a heads up. It wouldn't be fair to give "not recommended" review because the game just wasn't what i expected. Buy it if its what you are looking for.
