You arrive in the lands of Glimmith, a kingdom above the clouds. Your newest benefactor has hired you, a famed stained glass artisan, to help him restore the area to its former glory. However, he has given you an unusual stipulation: use whatever colors you please, so long as you follow the rules! A cozy hamlet, an enchanted forest, and a forlorn castle await. Keep your eyes open for hidden paths and secret puzzles nestled away for the most observant players.

The Artisan of Glimmith Spatial reasoning - the game. This is a puzzle game with a cool base premise - all the stained glass windows in a kingdom have been destroyed and you are tasked with restoring them. Color doesn't matter, just the pattern of edges of each section. Each puzzle is one window, and each window has a difficulty rating from 1 (introductory/teaching you a new mechanic/implying a rule it's hoping you observe) to 7 (a fiendishly complicated, large puzzle that blends rules and has lots of blind alleys to explore if you're just trying random stuff). There are lots of puzzles within a region and you need to complete some minimum number of them to move on to a new rule. The game introduces new mechanics at a reasonable rate - teaching you, asking you to explore, then letting you move on unless you'd like to 100% the region associated with the rule! Then it'll occasionally blend them with old rules, etc. Typical puzzle game fare. My struggle is with just how many rules there are, and how unpleasant some of them are to work with. I started out 100%-ing each region and quickly gave up on that as I realized the scope of the game. There are something like 20…1 found this helpful
HIGHLY recommend this game!!! With the amount of puzzles in the game (more than 1,000 in the game itself as well as community made puzzles in the workshop) the price could double and I'd still say it's worth the money. If you like tangrams, you'll LOVE this game. I picked up this game after seeing some clips of people playing it on YouTube, and I was really impressed with the mechanical complexity behind some of the puzzle rules (my favorites were compass and inequality (the 3 borders can't touch and 4 borders can't touch rules can go rot)). If you're playing on a lower-end computer like me, you might run into some performance issues, but I never had anything other than occasional lag as I was navigating the map that fixed itself pretty quickly. My biggest critique is that I wish it was easier to travel across the different sections of the map for when you're going back to get the puzzles you missed, but that's really just a minor nitpick. This game is fantastic, and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes puzzle games!
