What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed receives mixed reactions from players, with some enjoying the faster gameplay and story campaign, but many long-time fans of the original expressing disappointment with the overall design. Common complaints center on visual clutter that makes it hard to follow the action, awkward new mechanics and boss fights, and a general sense that the sequel feels messier and less polished than its predecessor. Players seem divided on whether it's worth purchasing, with veterans of the series particularly recommending sticking with the original game instead.
As someone with over 5,000 hours in speedrunners, I will say this game is utter garbage, don't buy it, save your money and time :)6 found this helpful

it’s not like this is bad… but the first one is simply better. Speedrunners 1 is chaotic in a fantastic way, while this one feels messy and confusing. lots of time i felt lost or even looking at the wrong character or feeling like there is too many information in the screen, and those things simply don’t happen in the original one gameplay is also weird, the new modes feel weird, the bosses feel weird i’ll complete the campaign mode (the story is kinda fun) but then i’ll come back to speed runners 12 found this helpful
