Stellar Odyssey (2026)

I am not sure where to start with Stellar Odyssey, I will admit that I am conflicted when I write this review. This game has matured from an initial web version into a steam based version and I will say that the developer of the game has come along way. I may not agree with everything the dev does to the game but to say he doesn't pour his heart and soul into the game would be unjust, the reality is that I've never seen an indie dev more committed to making a game that he believes people will enjoy. The game gets consistent content updates, and has a community that thrives on playing the game. I think if you're looking for a space game in which you can kill time, this is probably a top tier game. The other part that I think most people will find amazing is that you can become a top player without spending a dime but there is ofcourse the element of spending if that floats your boat. I give Stellar Odyssey a ranking of 4/5, I think the game will continue to grow and be a great game for a long time. Are you ready to explore the galaxy? Then this game is definitely for you!

I enjoy idle games, I enjoy some SLOW idle games, but I have played several days now, and there is never anything more to do, than collect materials, wait, wait, wait, collect materials, realize you are days away from even minor progress even with the new player boosts....Its really just not doing it for me. I like the idea of the Market and this whole world semi being player driven. But it is just far too slow for me. Maybe in some future updates or something. I will check back another time.

The people leaving bad reveiws must not be very honest, one person claims you cannot experience the game without paying. They have clearly no ability to play the game very well. I am by no means saying this game is perfect and the things that I explain here may or may not be possible in the future, games change. I started off by selling Quantum cores, which are used for upgrades. your upgrades are a % boost to stats and exp gains, resource amounts from gathering. You typically dont want to sell too many qcores, you get so many a day and doing daily activties you can get an extra 150. qcores sell between 5-15million credits, you need billions of credits to get to where i am, and ive played about two weeks or so now. the first thing i did with my money was buy more droids for gathering and clones for battling. then increased the stats of those droids and clones, i stacked maneuverability which allowed my droids to gather more resources, then i used my qcores to upgrade regular and rare gathering % boost, along with the other stats boost. exp gain. im level 80 battling and 79 gathering because thats all ive been doing, i literally just crafted 10 fuel capsules and am now 2000ish ly …

This game might feel very idle at first but as you get going it becomes a very active incremental game where you constantly explore the galaxy, craft new items and build yourself up piece by piece. Progression feels rewarding and power increases are noticeable, and especially, it rewards smart planning and figuring out the game systems to make the most of it. One slight downside is that it might feel harder to catch up while starting later than most. But if you join a good group of people (a squadron) they can help you get caught up and competitive with even the strongest players.

I haven't started playing yet, but it seems promising.
