Storm Boy is a short, charming walking simulator that offers a relaxing and emotional experience based on the classic children's book, with a pleasant narrative focus and calming seaside atmosphere that works well as a palate cleanser between longer games. Players appreciate its beautiful presentation, easy achievements, and touching story, though they note it's quite brief (around 30 minutes) with minimal replay value and some minor control issues. The general consensus is that it's worth experiencing, though some suggest waiting for a sale given its short length.
I did not even know this game was based on a book before I played it, but wow... what a beautiful little story. ♡ It is very short (about 30 minutes), but honestly, I didnt mind at all. The game is mostly little relaxing mini-games. Nothing difficult or stressful! just a cozy experience that lets the story shine. I got it on sale for €0.99 and it was absolutely worth it. I was NOT expecting to get so attached to a pelican, but here we are. 😭Mr. Percival completely stole my heart. This is one of those tiny games that leaves you with a warm feeling when its over. Sweet, emotional, cute, a little sad...... And definitely worth playing imo! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=375751685824 found this helpful

Very chill and charming. Storm Boy is a short walking-sim adaptation of the classic children’s book, more of a relaxing interactive story than a “game” in the traditional sense. You’ll stroll the beach, enjoy a few easy mini-games, and soak up a nice, calming atmosphere that feels like a tiny seaside getaway. It won’t take you more than ~30 minutes to finish, and while there’s not much replay value, the serene vibe and simple story make it worth a go — achievements are super easy too.
Short but still had a decent narrative. Still wait a sale or when it becomes free or something
Storm Boy, is a beautiful, emotional and short game that attempt's to adapt from the book it share's it's title with. Personally I haven't read the book it's based on, so I wouldn't know whether this is a faithful adaptation or not, however what is present here is honestly a great experience, that I would highly recommend you play through it. Game play is rather simplistic but it's focus is more on the narrative which is honestly quite pleasant to read through. In conclusion, If you're looking for a short but sweet palate cleanser between more complex gaming experience's, I would recommend you give this game a try. Solid 7/10
