✦ AI summary

Players appreciate Takeover's core concept of stylish combat with a skilled female protagonist and cybernetic powers, along with decent character graphics, but are heavily disappointed by repetitive level design, unclear stealth mechanics that devolve into combat loops, and what feels like an unfinished or unpolished product. Common complaints include confusion over gameplay objectives, frustrating combat that needs refinement, early progression walls that halt play, and game-breaking bugs like being able to zip outside the map, leaving players hopeful the developers will focus polish on what

But once you dive in, it’s more of a takeover of your patience and sanity than anything else. Here’s why:
About This Game

Storyline
The basic premise of Takeover could have been awesome. You play as Fubuki, a super-skilled agent with some fancy cybernetic powers and a sword that can cut through anything (including robots and humans—fun, right?). Cyborgs have rebelled against their creators, EXE Corp, and are now threatening the city, led by one particularly emotional AI. You’re thrown into this mess to stop the uprising. It’s a familiar but decent setup. However, the execution of the story feels...barely there. There’s just enough plot to give you a reason to fight things, but don’t expect much in the way of engaging cutscenes or character development.
Gameplay Mechanics
Let’s get int…

First 20 Minutes Gameplay Here I had really high hopes when I first received the game. Sadly, either there was something I couldn't overcome or it's an unfinished game. I tried to "play" the game but just couldn't overcome the first part which seemed like a loop for me. The graphics (characters) looked nice but other than that? Pretty nothing much. I don't like giving thumbs down but this game sadly is one of them. Maybe I'll change my view of this game if I can get past the first part.

Takeover is a game that struggles to have an identity. The stealth aspect is not really stealth but a repeating cycle of avoiding androids to eventually fight more androids to destroy a generator. The combat is somewhat interesting but a little frustrating, maybe with a little polish it can be improved. I, on several playthroughs zipped outside the map to break the game! On my first run it confused the heck out of me. Hopefully the Devs can improve upon what is good and turn a frustrating, repetitive mess into a decent combat game. 👎 Interesting idea, bad execution
