It's impressive how games like this still work nowadays without issues.

Maybe old, but is so much fun, and so technical for how old it is! So many controls for the suit, lasers, super jump flying type stuff, super speed, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ destruction of your enemies! And my favorite thing, one of the extremely few games I've played that give you a good hud inside a suit/helmet. I always love that ♥♥♥♥, feels so immersive.

I have fond memories playing Terra Nova on my Pentium II PC. This game was in a class by itself and so much fun to play that most todays games only dream of being. Sound & graphics "for the time" were top notch and a compelling story to boot. I place game in top 5 of my all time PC games.

super cool retro power armor simulator. the controls are wonky but work pretty well once you get used to them, the cursor click HUD interface is fun imo, and the amount of control you have is pretty cool. there are sub-displays that can show comms, a map, and weapon systems, or can be switched to show 3 camera views, both sides and rear, in addition to the larger main view which faces forward (and can be rotated right and left with Q and E keys). in terms of gameplay, its kind of like a ghost recon style game, you drop in an open map with a squad of NPCs and some objectives to accomplish. the campaign has fun FMV cutscenes between missions, and theres a random mission editor mode also for infinite power armor combat. there are only a handful of complaints on my end. one, no subtitles whatsoever. thankfully mission briefings offer a text briefing after the video, but mid-mission updates can be difficult to notice in the heat of combat. plus, since the soundtrack is retro MIDI style music, turning the volume up high enough to hear the dialogue WILL annoy everyone you live with. two, i don't vibe with the weapon designs on the power armors in this game. the armor itself i…

Man I loved this game when I was younger and just getting into PC gaming. I played the crap out of this game. I was so excited to see NightDive studios tackle this and bring it back on modern systems. However I was so disappointed to see that there wasn't much done in the way of remastering it. No improved graphics or updated resolutions to enhance your experience. It's basically the same old game running on dosbox on modern systems. Still if you have never played it it's worth a romp.
