They got rid of walking around and admiring your mechs in your mech bay which is what I loved about MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries. The story is terrible. Voice acting is terrible. Character design is also terrible. Nearly all characters have the same face and eyes. Terrain doesn't seem scaled properly to size of mechs. Just seems odd. Also, they ruined the fun of upgrades in my opinion. Also, if you change difficulty at any point it restarts your entire mission. There should be a warning or something. Overall just mid. I wont be buying DLCs this is just sad.1 found this helpful

I have tried to find this game likable in one way or another. But everything is just not quite right about it, From the choice to use Unreal Engine use that has unrealistic distances, magnification of targets, etc. To the general story-telling which is so far removed from the Clans as they were originally designed and written. I get to where I just skip the story completely because of all it's errors or ignorance of the lore. And finally the game play is terrible. Instead of balancing the game with believable numbers of NPC enemies they just throw 30 or more at you to try to give a since of difficulty/accomplishment. The numbers in battles are rarely if ever this outnumbered at least if the idea is for the outnumbered side is expected to win. I purchased the base game and the first DLC came with it, I don't think I will get either finished. It's just all bad. (Note: I do play this un-modded.) Maybe you could improve it with modding, but I'd rather suggest you play MW5: Mercenaries. It is far superior a game.1 found this helpful

I bought this just to see how Clans get Fochted, a huge dissapointment on this point. Never a big fan of clanners and their ways. I want MW6: Mercs and fight against these Kerensky worshippers
Mechwarrior continues the excellent gameplay and good storyline. i wish they would continue past the beginning stages of the invasion though.
