Detect and capture paranormal anomalies and remove them by taking a picture — shifting shadows, spectral figures, and cryptic disturbances — as you piece together the attic's harrowing past. Each photo brings you closer to uncovering its sinister secrets, but the anomalies won't go quietly.
Equipped with a instant picture camera and a lighter, you have to scan your environment. Be careful not to run out of photo cartridges, otherwise you won't be able to haunt the paranormal .. and beware your health. Some anomalies can attack you.

The core gameplay falls within the anomaly genre, which means you need a sharp eye to spot even the smallest differences. The main idea behind these games is that you begin in a "default" version of a location, and every new loop is either exactly the same or contains a single anomaly. Because of that, it's important to memorize the first version of the location as well as you can since your progress depends on how quickly you notice changes. Although the game starts on the ground floor, this only happens once because the attic becomes your main looping area. It's filled with plenty of memorable objects, including boxes on shelves, various items scattered across tables and the floor, a wooden doll, a mannequin, a painting, and several other unique decorations that make it easier to recognize when something is different. Instead of simply choosing between two exits, the game introduces a camera mechanic that lets you photograph anomalies. If you capture the correct spot, you'll receive a confirmation message along with a small piece of the story connected to that object before safely moving on to the next loop. Nice short paranormal anomaly game. The atmosphere is good, the length feels right, and I obviously stopped to pet the cat at the start of every floor because I have values. Some anomalies were a bit hard to spot, though that might just be a me problem. Either way, it stayed fun without dragging things out.1 found this helpful
I would give this neutral if I could. Its not a bad anomaly game and it does a decent job at telling a simple subtle story. Since apparently this is a single dev though I'll leave this as a positive even though not having achievements function on the harder difficulty was quite annoying. It required a 2nd full playthrough on baby mode for achieves. Additionally the anomalies started strong but became repetitive in style. Still a decent game to kill some time.

I don't think I can recommend this game. I'm impressed that Steelkrill Studio is a solo developer, and I highly enjoyed their previous game The Stairway 7. My issue with this game was that each "room" was inconsistent and there were some visual bugs. For example, a shadow appears over the box behind the mannequin. While it is an anomaly for one room, it appears in other rooms and is not counted as an anomaly. Visual consistency is important for an anomaly/spot the difference game, and I hope that is considered in the next game.
Decent short horror but I feel maybe the build up for the story wasn't quite long enough. I don't feel like I got to know the characters too much and honestly I wish the cat moved around a little or did some other actions. Definitely worth a playthrough though! Great jump scares :)
