About The Blackwood Project

You as the top agent in your field, Lucia Bellamonte is sent out to investigate a distress call made by some mysterious man. In The Blackwood Project you will find out exactly what happened in The Blackwood Manor and why the professor needs your help.

Explore The Blackwood Manor

You explore Blackwood using your trusted handgun and flashlight to find out exactly why the professor so urgently messaged you about arrival to Blackwood Manor. The Creatures at The Blackwood Manor seem to have some mutation that makes them only visible when in bright lights such as your flashlight.

Very solid bones for what could be a really good game. It really nails the RE vibe, although it is a much simpler game. Be warned: this is really not truly a "game", it's more of a proof-of-concept prologue, so only expect a 15 minute playthrough (at most). The combat really needed some more work, it is VERY clunky. Being a student project, this is pretty impressive, and if the flaws were ironed out, I would gladly pay for a game like this from these devs in the future.

Nicely designed game but the combat is pretty booty but once your out of ammo you are out of ammo and have to restart the entire level. When I got to level 3 where you fight the giant mutant dog my character glitched out and froze in place and couldn't move at all after getting hit by the mutant doggo. And to make things worse the enemies respawn but ammo doesn't? Then when I died twice there were audio issues and a texture glitch on the mutant dog. At least you have the ability to skip levels since I didn't want to do level 3 all over again ok free to play game overall if you can get past the combat and glitches but I wouldn't recommend because of them https://youtu.be/X6hkdaZKBjo

would've appreciated atleast some graphics settings. getting stable 100+ fps until there's an enemy - then there's choppy 37.5 fps. considering intel cards (i have arc a580 8gb) are always funky with drivers it's probably intel's fault, but i would've liked to atleast be able to lock 30fps cap ingame so that strange fps flactuations would not be as irritating. overall good game, would've played until the end if it would have worked ok on my card

7/10 This is a fun, short game with interesting lore. Would have enjoyed more game play by adding new chapters. The combat intensity was definitely the weak point but overall it was enjoyable.

A strong proof of concept. Too dark and the enemies are transparent? I wish there was a dodge mechanic and it is possible to "soft lock" a level if you run too low on ammo. Looking forward to the next project by this developer.
