What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise The Bunnyman for its immersive level design, atmospheric mystery-focused storytelling, and charming B-movie voice acting that often lands as unintentionally funny. The deduction mechanics, puzzle design, and detailed environmental craftsmanship create an engaging horror experience that feels respectfully priced for the content. However, several players report encountering bugs—particularly with missing or unpickable items in puzzle sections—which some attribute to the early access status, though the issues don't seem to significantly diminish enjoyment for most.
The Bunnyman is a walking horror sim, with a heavy emphasis on mystery and light puzzles. The voice acting is extremely funny, where the character reacts to everything with a tone straight out of a cartoon or a B horror movie. I did enjoy it and found myself laughing at points where I shouldn't. I ran into some bugs, although I cannot say if that was because I was playing on the Steam Deck. Gameplay wise the puzzles are simple, although the history is left for the player to figure out. The game also has some welcoming additions like a deduction system, where you can figure out what is actually going on. Absolutely recommended, especially for the price. Absolutely wonderful game. I haven't completed it yet, so this review is coming from someone who is approximately a quarter way through. The level design is great as well as scenery make you fill very immersed. Without a second thought I do recommend this game. I appreciate their craft and the attention to detail and passion the team has given to this game, look bugs as long as games are developed by humans there will be bugs, however i can forgive the bugs with it being a early access and with how much i enjoyed this game. This game is has a thrilling psychological story with interesting supporting characters to flesh the story out. It's not just a game.it's a movie with a great story and puzzles. Pro tip - play this game at night and turn off the lights.2 found this helpful
game dont work that well :(
I really enjoyed the game. I did run into a couple bugs where the key wasn't there for power plant part 2. I clicked unstuck and then the key was there but I couldn't pick it up. Oh well, I liked the game lol
If you like horror games, this is up your alley. it is in early access and looks very promising. It becomes easy to be absorbed in the experience, as the game is beautiful and the lore and ambience is unique and hypnotic. And at $3.99? I can't even watch a movie at the theatres and be entertained that long for that price!
Awesome game so far. Great attention to detail around the map to fully feel immersed into the well designed map/world. Graphics surprised me, the game looked fantastic especially the shadows. The interactions the player has with the game are great fun as well, many games don't do it this well if not at all, my favourite being taking pictures with the camera and storing them as evidence and using the shovel to dig out the dirt and place it onto a pile ( RIP the dogo ). Game definitely keeps you on your toes as well, always feels like your being watched and you don't know when something might suddenly happen. Cant wait for the full game or more updates to solve more puzzles and the story. : )
