Finally giving the game my review. If reviews are very positive, honestly, I think it should even be Overwhelmingly Positive instead. This is one of the best FMV releases this year. The survival system, the conditions per path, the cast, the acting, the plot, the setting, the music, they all fit the vib and jive really well together. Everything feels well-polished and not rushed at all. Great thoughts came into play when this game was made. Absolute cinema! EDIT: Finally achieved 100% <3 thanks to the devs, cast and the whole team!

To be fair, Blood Money: Lethal Eden is not really a bad game. The fact that the game was set in an infamous Cambodian fraud factory, which is an extremely concerned topic especially for South East Asian people like me, shows it has great potential. However, they just didn't fully realized it. While some scenes from the camp was realistically horrifying, the sound quality (plus the lack of support background music) and mediocre acting really dropped the feeling deep and made me disappointed. Furthermore, I find the route rather confused and the playback feature was bad. It makes me feel like the game is just a worse version of Cellveilance.

So the reason I played this one was because it shares some cast from Exclusive Memory. Both have a different game mechanics. In some ways this FMV transcends the normal Drama Romance centric nature and gives it a Mature touch. I still haven't got all achievements as my primary motive was to get the Perfect Ending from the start. Edit: Got all Achievements. Its tedious for sure.

Before playing this game, I had played a few FMV games by Wales Interactive, which were fine and good in their own right, but this game is much more immersive and engaging. I have been intrigued with FMV games for awhile, but I was off put by many of the more popular games in that genre full of fan service. I do not have anything against those types of games, but that is not what I am looking for. Blood Money: Lethal Eden, on the other hand, is a much more grounded and frankly disturbing setting, taking place in a scam compound in Myanmar. The main character falls for a girl online, but after meeting in-person is drugged, kidnapped, and brought to a compound in Myanmar forced to scam others to survive. The other characters, though many fit standard tropes, have enough depth to feel believable, most dealing with varying degrees of trauma. Outside of the story aspects, the game has a pretty functional UI and a story select that blows away anything that has been put out by Wales Interactive. Touch controls are also quite good, so if you are playing this with a touchscreen, it works great. Overall this is the best FMV I have played so far (albeit I haven't played many) and I am look…

This is a game that really surprised me with how good it was. It takes a gritty somewhat realistic approach to it's story, that makes it stand out from other games in the genre. I really enjoyed the stat system that rewards you for taking actions, that will lead to different branching paths that give the game more replayability. The average playthrough is about 3-4 hours, however if you want to see everything it will be double that. There's even more ways to enjoy the game with unlocking achievements and a challenge run. For the value alone this game will certainly reward the player with plenty of content to enjoy. Lethal Eden has a great cast of characters. I even found some of the supporting cast really interesting. It certainly helps that all the actors give solid performances and the script is quite excellent. Some games have one too many twists/reveals in an attempt to keep the player's attention, this game knows how to maintain a balance and it's story is compelling enough to keep you wanting to press on to see where the story goes. This game is a must play if you're at all interested in this genre, or if you just enjoy a good drama.
