About The Elmian Warrior

You have been revived as the last member of the Elmian Tribe by a mad doctor. Get yourself ready to come across ancient ruins, an abandoned city, and more to obtain LOTS of weapons and cleanse the demon-infested Egarim Island! The demons won't give in so easily, though... Get yourself ready to slaughter TONS of demons with nothing but your own wits, and whatever treasures you can find!
  • Explore, and find a BAZILLION weapons and tons of treasure!
  • Said treasure is also randomized!
  • Lots of demons for you to go out and murder!
  • An open world that actually has stuff in it!
  • Find dungeons that can be completed in any order you choose!
  • Quirky characters that you can meet that talk about stuff like murder, certain places, or their worthless personal problems.
  • Ever wanted to make things explode, start big fires, smack stuff with oversized fantasy weapons for the millionth time, or shoot things with guns in a non-FPS game?

✦ AI summary

Players appreciate the fun gameplay mechanics and weapon variety, with combat feeling engaging and satisfying. However, the game suffers from significant technical issues and unclear save mechanics that undermine the experience, including game-breaking bugs like getting stuck in walls and confusing save point indicators that can result in progress loss.

Edit: Okay well thst's awkward.. I just loaded the game up and there was no game available in the load game slot :| To the dev, you may wanna make it WAY more clear when/how the game saves. I died and it kicked me back to the start of the room I was in, so I assumed it was 'saved' in some way, since there was no "this is a save point" or anything like that and Alt-F4'd, which I guess totally didn't save anything at all. :( The little heart-thing in town, which spins and boops when you hit it, apparently also isn't a save point? Kind've an annoying thing to have be so unnecessarily unclear. Upon booting it back up I see in the start/escape menu there's a "Save and quit" while playing - a simple "Be sure you save and quit from the menu!" warning would help alleviate that. It does seem to 'autosave' in that if you die or something you get pushed back a bit, and I guess the spinning heart in town is maybe a heal or something and not a save? Also, having to constantly hold a button to sprint gets tiresome, there's almost no times I find myself not wanting to be sprinting, and it's kinda annoying to have to mash a button constantly to avoid going at a crawl. A pretty cute little game…

It's pretty fun. Bug there are gamekilling bugs, so I can't recommend it. Weapons are pretty fun, health/magic's easy to get, not much of a story but it's fun to run around and stab things, etc. I've gotten stuck in a wall twice, though. Have to start a new game each time.
