About The Godbeast
The Godbeast blends atmospheric exploration and fast-paced melee combat in a stylish action/adventure. Set in a dark and timeless City, the banished Ysengrim returns from exile to take revenge for the murder of his father, the King.
The City's inhabitants have since been driven mad by the moonlight and worship the Council of the Hunt, cruel beings that keep the world trapped in an eternal nightmare. Their power is tied to the fate of the Godbeasts, divine animals that roam the streets.
Armed with an enchanted spear and riding his motorcycle, Ysengrim sets out to hunt down the giant Godbeasts and engage in fierce duels with the evil Lords that rule the City.

Extremely clunky, feels very far from finished from the get-go. Nothing in this game works as one would expect.4 found this helpful
*Disclaimer: Wrote this on my own accord. It isn't a review in exchange for a code thing.* It can be hard to figure out what's a platform and what's not a platform. The sky and platforms are the exact same or a similar shade of colour. Currently early on in the game. Can't make it past the first climbing section. I somehow randomly pulled it off the first time. I ended up on the very top of a pillar and couldn't get off. I tried pressing a bunch of keys. I eventually gave up. I recently decided to try getting off the pillar again. I couldn't get the character to enter climbing mode. I don't know how I pulled it off the first time. Can anyone help me?4 found this helpful
I saw killer7 like 3 times looked prett ycool
This game is frustratingly close to "good". The atmosphere is great, but I so wish that traversal was a bit less obtuse, the combat a bit more methodical... I hope that the sequel addresses these issues, but I am not willing to cough up the money to check.
I was given a key to play this game as a part of the 1 Up Indie Spotlight and I was blown away at how much fun I had playing this on stream! The graphics are very nice and remind me of old cell shaded games like Killer7. The controls are smooth and responsive! I always say that you can tell how much work went into combat by testing out how good the roll feels, and this game has a VERY good feeling roll! The music compliments the dark atmosphere and the vocals that come in during some of the fights adds a lot to the encounters. Also, you can call for a bike from across the map and it'll zoom on over to you automatically, which never ceases to be funny and amazing. I genuinely recommend people try out this game! A lot of work went into The Godbeast and I could sing its praises for hours!
I like how it is dark and creepy and has a souls like feel to it with the dodging. The harpoon throwing is fun as well as the slowly automatic healing. the bike is fun at times since the areas are kind of far away but there needs to be more details on what to do in this game. the godbeasts that you have to jump on, disappear and that's kinda annoying. even if it is part of the game, I want to fight them. some of the enemies cant be fought early, so you need to upgrade or else you will just keep fighting an infinite health enemy. I am a souls fan and I literally had to give up and die after beating these infinite health enemies for 20 minutes straight trying to figure out if I can cheat the game by beating them too much. overall it is kinda fun, so I give it a 8/10
