The city of Stalagshire exists as a haven to both humans and dragons alike. To Rimentus, a young dragon hatched within the city, it is the only home he has ever known. Beneath its peaceful facade however, simmering unrest has slowly begun to boil over.
When Stalagshire's Festival of Peace is interrupted by arson and the destruction of Caketropolis - the city's first interspecies cafe - all pretenses are dropped. Amidst rising tensions, the resulting chaos may see the dragons of Stalagshire exiled for good.
Someone's to blame for burning down Caketropolis, and Rimentus is certain his kin are not responsible. But can he solve the Mystery of Caketropolis before time runs out?

[b][u]SPOILERS AHEAD! MAJOR, [i]MAJOR[/i] SPOILERS AHEAD!![/u][/b] Just a note: remember this is a review, and is thus MY OPINION. This game is wonderful! ...And then it stumbles at the last possible hurdle. And it stumbles hard. First, let's get to the good stuff: pretty much everything! The music is really great, the character designs are nifty (well, the dragons, at least), it's fun to see Rim's reactions when you investigate things, and while I had to go through a few times to get everything, it's a really interesting ride. Not to mention it's got some really good humor. The story itself is written pretty well, too, with themes of racism with both sides having some understandable reasons behind their biases. But then...oh boy. It's one great, big downer. One of the worst kinds, too, because it deliberately pulls the rug out from under you. If you don't like stories where you find out that the good ending was a lie, don't waste your time on this game. RANT AHEAD! You start off getting a bad ending. I was excited to get this game - dragons, cake, what could go wrong?? As it turns out, though, the story just. Doesn't work for me. The worldbuilding went some weird directions that don't really make sense if you think about them and I didn't connect to the characters and the story macguffin.2 found this helpful
I loved this game so very much. The writing is wonderful, the world has so much detail, and the characters are awesome. I will warn you, some scenes are heart-wrenchingly sad. Also, the dragon point system is not the way to the good ending so don't worry about it on your first playthrough. You need information from one go through to get the other ending and the point system is just for an achievement and unique dialoge.1 found this helpful
I really liked this one. The length is just right and the story is decent. However, despite its lighthearted appearance, its a tragedy at heart. [spoiler]Even after finishing the "true ending," the bonus scenes made me rethink what it all really was. [/spoiler]1 found this helpful
