As advertised, it is very short and sweet, but I think it has a lot of potential if the developer ever wanted to revisit and expand on it. The worldbuilding is subtle but intriguing, the combat system is loads of fun, and the characters are likable. Some of the dialogue is a bit awkward and overly modern compared to the rest of the setting, but there is a lot to like in a little over an hour of gameplay.

The definition of a "short and sweet" experience. Minimal story but what's there is good; left me wanting to know more about the world which is always a positive. Combat isn't too challenging but has some fun tactical choices; enemies are varied and so are your skills (within the confines of being a 90-minute JRPG of course) I did have experience an issue in the first area where occasionally the screen would freeze during combat (game was responsive otherwise, just no change in the frame); saving after every combat is painless and it's rare so not a big deal (playing on Proton so I'm sure that's a factor but no energy to investigate)

I enjoyed my time with it, short and sweet. The character art is really cute and the tunes are nice as well.

Ehhh, mostly generic stock images I've seen in other rpgs for character and enemy sprites, same sound effects too. This took me 61 minutes so its a very easy, quick to beat game. Otherwise, bland, basic combat without many options for strategy, pretty much do the same things every battle.

В целом, если вы любите быстрый, сложный и красивый экшен с большим потенциалом реиграбельности, то 'The Oni Sellsword' вас точно не разочарует. Рекомендую!
