A twin stick, fixed shooter, bonus hell, cat adventure, pixel art, shoot 'em up.
Shoot aliens and collect stars! You are a blue house cat with a stretchy head. As aliens have invaded, you are our last defense against their hordes. Fight the aliens on earth, under the ocean and in space in this fixed shooter inspired by old arcade classics.
Old school
They came from another planet is a risk/reward based, old school shoot 'em up where you fight aliens by shooting at them (from your ears). Killing an alien results in falling stars that you collect to level up and get stronger. You can stretch your head to collect more stars, but beware, stretching makes you an easy target for the invading force.
Stars also give you points. Points are useless but fun. You can also get to write your initials on the high score table if you have enough of them, just like in the arcades.
Reckless and rich or safe and poor
I you are hit, your head will split and have to connect before your life meter runs out. Leveling up by catching more stars is crucial in order to survive longer when split. In the end, it's up to you how you like to play. Reckless and rich or safe and poor.
Sometimes the aliens also drops a power up to help you on your journey.

They came from another planet is a free vertical shmup brick breaker hybrid with twin stick control. Each stick controls one side of the head. Collect power ups and stars for points. When you get hit you lose your power ups but you get a chance to collect them again. Multiple sections each with a boss to defeat at the end. Fun graphics and amusing gameplay, it feels kind of casual but to collect all the stars without getting hit can be challenging, the bosses aren't easy as well. "They came from another planet" is a badly made hybrid shoot 'em up and Breakout/Arkanoid ripoff with a blue cat pixelcrap blob instead of whatever those games had. What do you do in the game? You do some shmup stuff, you play Breakout, you marvel at how absolutely no innovation is needed to pump out garbage with the one-two punch of GameMaker Studio and Steam Direct. Needless to say, this was a dismal failure on Steam for obvious reasons. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major …
I suck at this game and couldn't beat the last boss because of the constantly re-spawning side eyeballs and that laser barrier causing a screen flash when bullets hit it sending me into seizures. It didn't feel worth the brain damage at a point. But YOU? YOU got this dude, I feel it balls to bones. I'm putting this as a no recommend for ME because I'm a scrub, but it is totally a recommend for people who like to mash keys and scream at a freakish giant mouthed cat to move left already, REAL TALK.
