About Defend Felinearth

Help defend Felinearth by sending the bravest cats (and a dog?) to fight evil aliens. You will compete against the clock to defeat as many enemies as you can in a set time. Casual players love the pickup and play controls! Advanced players will love how unforgiving space can be! Furries will like being an anthropomorphic cat in a spaceship! There’s something for everyone here in Felinearth.

Key Feature
The key feature of this game is combination of warships, sub-weapons and skills. If you do it right, you could just make a difficult level easier.

Weapon System
9 warships, each one with its own weapon system. Violet could pierce enemies’ armors, Crimson Serpent possesses excellent homing ability, Bubble Storm could drag the speed of enemies down after limit break, Kraken has low firing rate but could deal huge damage to enemies.

Various Enemies
The enemies are different not just in terms of bullet shape and attack power. For example, some enemies could forcibly change your shooting direction with magnetic field. Some enemies may be bad at attacking, but they could protect other enemies by generating a shield. Boss units could set you in different abnormals.

Game Progress
Unlike most bullet hell games, Boss in this game does not await you at the end of the level, but appears among normal enemies. It is a challenge to battle against the Boss while trying to ensure that the combo wouldn’t stop. You will encounter a special kind of asteroid in the game, and destroy it in the right way would give you extra buff, otherwise your defense will drop significantly. At the end of each level, the number of enemies siege you would increase, and if you couldn’t keep your composure, you will probably fall at the last hurdle.

Features:
  • 9 Characters and Warships
  • 8 Sub Weapons
  • 35 Skills
  • Dozens of enemies including 11 powerful bosses
  • 20 Levels plus Survival Mode
  • 4 Difficulty Levels
  • 35 Challenging Achievements
  • Trading Cards
  • Leaderboards

The year is 1995. Tom Fulp has founded Newgrounds.com and it is soon flooded with the latest and greatest content created by the advanced and artistic tools named "Flash" and "Shockwave". It is not long until the site grows to immense popularity, forming a culture of its own. Many games would reach internet fame based on their sheer creativity and of course, fun. Defend Felinearth is kinda like those games except it's not one of the good ones. It's one the flash games that you'd probably have to sort by popularity, and then go to the last page. That's okay though, because this game really isn't that bad. I mean, it's bad in the sense that compared to other things it's definitely not going to hold up just because from a composition standpoint, it's a bit lackluster in about every department. But if I were to be locked up in a jail cell and I had a computer with literally just Defend Felinearth on it, I probably wouldn't complain. The game features some Japanese cat people that would fit perfectly in a Sonic the Hedgehog DeviantArt fanfic comic, whom I can only assume, have been recruited to defend their home planet from miscellaneous stock Gamemaker sprites invading the nearby spa…

I sort of collect any 2d space games for some reason. This game is pretty good, but on my system it cannot create a save file so progress is not saved. I would give this a thumbs up, but until I can solve this issue any windows 8 user may not be able to enjoy any content outside of one sitting.

i picked up this game on a whim years ago, albeit discounted on a badge-craft voucher. A simple yet honest game, its controls feel responsive and the content is fun. i spent many hours having a blast with it, especially when i was younger and i had little money to my name (and a potato of a pc). The main highlight is the variety of ships/characters, each with different guns and gameplay styles. I'm not much for the anime catboys, but there's a charm to assigning each ship a pilot. A rare gem in what is usually a poor selection of steam-voucher gamers, and a diamond in the rough.
