My Experience Although I usually don't play 2D platformers in single-player, I did think that Timberman could be fun to play with a friend using Steam's Remote Play Together feature. We had a good time overall, although the verticality of the levels in Timberman made it imperative for me to pay close attention. The first player can literally jump or move so far away from the second player that they are left off-screen to die. However, this isn't the only rough aspect of playing the game in co-op - there are wooden platforms that disintegrate into nothingness after being used, and sometimes players must jump between a number of these in succession. As your co-op partner follows you through these jumps, they'll find that there are no platforms for them to use. Luckily, the game is very forgiving. As long as both players don't die at once, the surviving character can punch a small bubble that appears beside them to respawn their partner. Overall player lives only seem to be lost when both players die at once. At the same time, I wouldn't say that the game is very difficult. The most difficult section appears in level 3-4 when a long spike trap in the floor (be…

The game has very floaty controls, bland level design and lacks any form of replay value. It's a really easy game, but you will die a lot anyway due to how poorly designed the levels are. Also, you can't rebind the controls for some reason. The sprite work and animation are both amazing, though. If you still want to buy the game, you can download it for free on the app store, but this PC port just isn't worth it.

Timberman: The Big Adventure, developed by Digital Melody and Storm Trident S.A. and published by Forever Entertainment S.A., takes the simple charm of the original Timberman mobile game and transforms it into a vibrant 2D platforming adventure. What began as a lighthearted tap-based arcade experience about chopping trees has evolved into a full side-scrolling journey filled with humor, color, and nostalgic energy. This installment expands the Timberman universe into something more narrative-driven, offering a classic-style quest to save the forest from an industrial threat while preserving the series’ cheerful personality. It’s a game that feels as though it leapt straight out of the 1990s—retro in presentation but refined enough to appeal to modern sensibilities. The story is charmingly straightforward. EvilCorp, a greedy company determined to exploit the forest, has disrupted the peaceful woodland balance, and it’s up to the titular lumberjack hero and his loyal bear companion to restore nature’s harmony. The player sets off on a quest through three themed worlds, each filled with enemies, platforming challenges, and hidden secrets. The writing keeps things light and humorous, …

It's a decent game with some well made levels. but it's over really quick. It took me less than two hours to get all the achivements, and gving us worker enemies that take half a dozen hits to take down don't help. One of those games you'll get on sell.

This game seems to be inspired by Rolo to the Rescue on the Sega Megadrive/Genesis. It has similar mechanics including saving animals from cages, but it has the added benefit of not having the horrid slippy mechanics that game had. It's very cute if you're looking for something similar, and is presented as a very all ages experience. You could definitely hand this off to your young kids to play as its not too difficult either.
