Titan Station

[h1] Yet another Firewatch-like game, but in Space [/h1] Let start with the most obvious upside – the game looks absolutely amazing. The views of the station both inside and outside are breathtaking, they have that early sci-fi aesthetic like 2001: A Space Odyssey, so taking screenshots is a genuine pleasure here. Furthermore, the game features an RTX technology which was all the rage back when game came out, though it makes the graphics look a little bit odd, since every surface ends up like it's coated in oil. Whelp. As the title of the review suggests, Titan Station is literally yet another walking-talking simulator where you go from point A to point B while chatting on the radio, which means this is a story-driven game and the gameplay is extremely primitive: you can walk and run, interact with objects (just click on them), read notes (logs) and occasionally deal with some incredibly tedious cubic hacking. And since we're on the subject of gameplay, its one and the only component is somewhat... repetitive. Firstly, there's a ton of backtracking. Walking Simulator with some puzzle solving. I played NON-VR mode. + Graphic + Atmosphere + Easy playing + Story - End part of the game, getting a bit boring, running back and forward. I loved it! Recommending for players who like walking sim, mystery, space. Achievements, 100% / ~5h. No missable achievements, all achievements are story related.

I bought this on a buying binge a while back but only got around to playing it last night. I managed to fumble my way through most of the game in about 4 or 5 hours (Not sure exactly as I stopped at one point and stupidly restarted the game from the Meta interface, and doing that stops Steam from logging the game time and achievements. 😕). I hit a few bugs that stopped progress, but for some reason, saving the game, quitting and restarting steam, then loading the saved game seemed to fix these problems each time. Today, realising that dispite fulfilling the criteria for most of the achievements, I hadn't got them ('Cos the Meta thing), so I thought "What the hell. I know what I need to do in the game now, so I'll just start a new one, zoom through it, and get the missing achievements". Knowing where I needed to go before the narrative told me and what I had to do when I got there meant I saved a lot of time, and this run through took a little under two hours. So as you can see, it's not a particularly long game, but it's also not sold for a particularly high price, so it all evens out. 😁 Anyway, about the game........... Yeah. It's not bad. It's pretty short. Took me five hours. I like the under-acted voice acting. It runs well and the story is good. The station is very monotonous but I guess they would be. It's no System Shock but yes, I'd give it an OK.

Philosophical retrofuturistic experience! Extremely relevant topics and great voice actors. A hidden gem!

Its a good game. - The performance is good (even though its made in unreal, can't imagine the solo dev went thouugh with the spaghettis (ehhmm) blueprints. There are some heavy stutters, but I am accepting them. - The lighting is good, cozy. - Reminds me of the spaceship 70's style from Alien Isolation. Not so detail through but it is good enough. I am having a good time walking around. - The monitors and old computers are beautiful. - Sound is pretty good too. I vouch for this game. Bravo!
