Tracing Decay

Mildly interesting, but there's not too much to look at

Cool idea but nothing was loading in properly for me, including the art.

"Tracing Decay" is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this "art experience". Instead of being a game, "Tracing Decay" is a software application that presents a poorly made art exhibition. We get this non-game shovelware on Steam whenever your usual Starbucks barista/McDonalds frycook art school dropout finally gets a restraining order from the local art galleries so turns to Steam Direct to try get their art published somewhere so they can finally dream of moving out of their parents basement. I'm not quite sure how to put it, but when art galleries aren't interested in this low effort try-hard garbage, Steam gamers are incredibly less likely to want it. I simply don't understand the mindset of failed artists and why they need to hurl their crap at Steam when all else has failed, but here we are, yet another non-game art "experience" crapping up Steam and making it even harder for genuine game developers who make real games to find their audience... an audience that has to wade through all the art school dropout junk to find the games they're looking for. Free art gallery game consisting of three 2 floors and basement + there's short film room. Performance is janky at best, but it has nice brutalist style floor which i enjoyed and some of the art is pretty cool too.
