About Decay - a real time interactive experience
The experience features a cinematic camera that runs and loops by itself, so can be watched as a real time music video, a 3D graphics benchmark, or control the camera and fly around the environment. You can press the Space Bar to enable the camera control. The free camera control is like a spectator camera in games (with collision detection) and allows you to fly around freely and explore the environment and the graphics.
Press Escape to view the options. Space to toggle cinematic camera (be sure to close the menu before flying around). WASD or Arrow keys move around. Mouse to look. Supports 3D glasses. To experience Decay in stereo 3D, you'll need red/cyan anaglyph 3D glasses. The ones from Pro-Ana or BIAL are the best quality.
What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players agree that Decay is essentially a tech demo and engine showcase rather than an actual game, offering nothing but a hallway to walk through with no meaningful interaction, gameplay loops, or objectives. While the music receives consistent praise and the visuals demonstrate Godot's 3D capabilities competently, most feel the graphics are unremarkable by modern standards and the experience is over within minutes, with complaints about sluggish navigation and HDR issues making it feel like a performance tester rather than entertainment.

Decay - a real time interactive experience is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this "art experience". Instead of being a game, Decay - a real time interactive experience is a software application that presents a poorly made art exhibition. This tech demo/art exhibition shows off Godot's rather impressive 3D engine (now, we all know the Godot2D engine is hot garbage that's never been used to make a successful game, but the 3D engine is out of this world). Unfortunately, no matter how nice a hallway looks... looking at a hallway isn't what anyone would consider to be a "game". For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. Counter-Strike has a game loop where a player seeks another player, tests their skill against that player by shooting th…2 found this helpful
Cool demo. Is the 3D limited to side-by-side - Is there an anaglyph 3D mode?

Despite the minimum system requirements saying it needs a GTX 1060, My GTX 1050 3GB laptop variant seems to keep up just as well, even on ultra which doesn't feel ultra to me. Just make sure you have good cooling or you may as well cook eggs with the gpu.
