Tunnel of Doom takes place in 1903 at Goldcrest, a small mining town. Due to an unknown incident, the mayor has shut down the mine until further notice. With her husband trapped inside, Angel enters the mine to investigate and search for survivors. Little does she know, hordes of ghoulish creatures are lurking in the darkness…
An action rogue-lite hybrid, Tunnel of Doom mixes tower-defense with melee and ranged combat gameplay. Gather resources and use what you find to battle waves of monsters as you try to rescue survivors and escape the mine.

I really tried to like this game but it just unfair. It has some mechanics that just make the game unbearable. 1) Most of the traits are useless, 2) the same materials you use to build are the ammo on your turrets, so the more you shoot the less you can build, 3) when you get hit the mobs lose agro and go hit something else, that means they will break your barricades, turrets and such, and when these get destroyed you lose the materials spent on them, so basicaly getting hit once means you will lose most of the material you spent building in that room and now you are in a downwards spiral 4) sometimes enemies will spawn from holes on the ground. You can put traps on top of them to prevent enemies from spawning and these traps break when steped on. BUT the ground enemies see them as walkable terrain, so basically they are useless because as soon as the first enemy spawns it will rush you position, break the ground trap and allow the enemies to spawn anyways, 5) you have 3 lifes, but when you die and you respawn IN THE SAME ROOM YOU JUST DIED LOCKED IN COMBAT, so you cant choose another path and come back later, if it was a super hard room that you just can`t win due to the lack of…5 found this helpful

Great retro style game in modern time. Nice easy gaming experience but still enough content.1 found this helpful
A good, well balanced tower defense roguelike. Not sure why it has negative reviews. I played it when those reviews were out as well. The art is good, the gameplay loop is fun, sound and music is good, and the skill level is deep enough, and it isn't too difficult once you learn the bits and pieces. Also didn't find any gamebreaking bugs. Worth playing if you like actiony tower defense games, mining/collecting and roguelikes.
First of all, keep in mind some other reviews are now outdated, as the devs updated the game to solve most issues (ie: respawning enemies, etc) This game is a little gem, as long as you understand what you're getting into. It's what it says on the tin, a hybrid between tower defense, and hands-on combat. You cannot just set down your turrets and expect to win every time, or at least, not without suffering some material losses, which might ultimately mean the end of your run. Once you understand that, and you start strategizing around it, via setting traps to aid you in attacking personally, or helping your turrets finish off weak monsters, or dealing with threats your turrets cannot, you'll get into the flow of things. That is where the game clicks, and with the many perks (some more useful than others) and secrets there are to be found on all the runs, it manages to be a very fun game. Do keep in mind, the rogue-'lite' aspect of the game simply means you start your next run with more money or perks, but only for the run immediately after your last one. So, you can't just simply gather up resources over many runs to win, you have to improve and learn. Besides the main mode, there'…
