About Twofold
Olive’s situation is dire. They're on the verge of being thrown out of college unless they can salvage their GPA, and their only chance rests on classes they know next to nothing about.Their lifeline: two club leaders who are more than willing to help them succeed. However, no solution is that easy. Olive soon finds themself in the middle of a conflict between these two friends that threatens to undo their long-standing love for each other.
Twofold is a story about love, family, and connection. It celebrates family of all kinds, and explores the strength (and fragility) of bonds between people.
Taking place roughly a year after First Snow, Olive’s position as an outsider to these established friend circles will be vital to fully understanding the situation threatening to undo this close-knit group.
cv: DottovuPessimistic and guarded, Olive lacks much in the way of friends, relying only on their sense of self-reliance to push them through life until now. While college life never came naturally to Olive, confronting their possible dropout is a trial all on its own.
That said, they're not entirely alone: they do their best to keep a brave face for the sake of their mother, who tirelessly cheers them on from the sidelines. Having put their life's worries to one side of the sake of their mom for so long, Olive must now take charge of their life.
cv: Lisa ReimoldThe leader of the art club. Dissatisfied with the club that already existed on campus, Caprice decided to commandeer a room and some loners and form her own. She carries this attitude through most aspects of her life, traveling her own path. Ever bright, optimistic and full of energy, she's always seeking joy around her, without much regard for norms and expectations. She strives to bring this same joy to the friends she's pulled into her orbit, even if they're a little resistant. She tends to be loud, which often gets every eye in the room on her, whether she means it to or not.
Although Caprice has a childlike enthusiasm to her, she's not naive and innocent. She recognizes there's a time for maturity--for when motivational shouting isn't the solution. She has her own worries, though she mostly keeps them to herself.
cv: Jill HarrisWhile the writing club has a long and proud history in her college, Millie's succession to the post of club leader coincided with the leaving of many of its members, leaving her sense of pride wounded and the club itself dangling by a thread. It's only Millie's nature, as stubborn as she is studious, which has kept the flame alive.
Millie's sense of curiosity about the world is expressed in extreme opposites, from dragging others along with her love of writing and reading, to her endless fascination with the mechanical world, often leaning into the hood of cars being fixed by her mechanic father. Her sense of maturity and independence is something she prides herself on, though those close know that even she needs a helping hand at times. Despite having few friends, those she keeps are very dear to her.
cv: Elissa ParkStranded at the center of a widening gap, Hayley has become tasked with balancing herself between her two best friends. For the most part, she tries to deal with this troubling instability in her usual way: cool and collected as she's able. Lacking the energy and wild ambition that her friends seem to have, Hayley tends to stick to herself and do things at a measured pace. She's easy to get along with, so people tend to like her, but she avoids social situations if she can. This has left her with mostly distant acquaintances, and she's quietly very grateful for Caprice and Millie continuously pulling her along with them.
Hayley often expresses herself through jokes with a delivery so dry one might not catch that they're being teased. Her other, more personal mode of expression is via music, but she's very selective about who she shares it with.

staggeringly, surprisingly good. the writing here is fantastic!! i don't like caprice, she's the kind of person who genuinely rubs me the wrong way, but she's so so well written that i can't hate her. and millie is one of the best depictions i've ever read of someone who's trying her best, who puts in a lot of effort to make other people happy and just ends up treated like a doormat. watching people take her kindness as permission to ignore her boundaries and take her for granted is heartbreaking, the core conflict of the story isn't happening because either of these girls(or anybody else involved) are bad people, but because so many people are projecting their feelings and issues onto millie instead of just. listening to her. except olive of course. they're basically the one emotionally intelligent person in the cast lol i love this VN and you should to!!!1 found this helpful

I Simply Can't Put into words how much I love this game. I have Never before just fully broken down and cried while reading a book or playing a game, and not necasarily sad tears either, it is just such a moving story, and hands down the best one I have read. I can so closely relate to caprice because Im always trying to put on a facade of being the strong one, and i also strugle to recognize when I cant power through. For Millie I can activly relate to having a close family member being terminaly ill, as I'm going through that right now. And for Oliver, I'm ata point in my life where i'm just struggling to find motivation to do the things that I need to do to get myself a proper education. I'm trying not to spoil to much because you SHOULD play it, no you NEED to play this game. I just can't put into words how much I love TwoFold, along with the Prequell FirstSnow. More People NEED to play this game and experience it as I did. If I had to rank This Out of all the games I Have Played, it is one, I Personnaly Enjoy The Story Even More so than HollowKnight, Silksong, Expedition 33, BG3. So Please, Just Play this game. 10/10. I ended up replaying this game 6–7 times for every achievement, and I don't regret a single playthrough. 😭 I came in expecting a cute yuri visual novel and left with emotional damage. The music, art, voice acting, and characters were all fantastic, and each route felt unique instead of being the same story with a different romance. I also really loved Olive. They felt like an actual person instead of a blank-slate protagonist, and seeing them constantly support Caprise and Mollie made me even more invested in the story. ***⚠️ Spoilers ahead! ⚠️*** [spoiler] Caprise was easily my favorite. Watching her slowly figure out relationships was adorable, and her energy made every scene fun to watch. Mollie... girl, PLEASE communicate. 😭 I liked her route, but she spent half the game expecting everyone to understand her without saying what she was feeling. The library scene had me yelling at my screen after she kissed Olive and immediately acted like it never happened. 💀 Still, once you understand her grief and why she pushes people away, her actions make a lot more sense.
