A good point-and-click game set during a dark chapter of Korean history. We follow a boy from 1948, trying to live his life as best as he can while a bloody civil war is being waged on his island. I didn't know anything about this incident before playing this game but it seems that a lot of care was put into depicting it. Even for people with no interest in history, there is still a good story to be found, about surviving with your family through trying times. It's not all doom and gloom though, there are also many lighthearted moments. It's all pretty well written although the English translation feels quite weird at times. The accompanying music is quite good too, and so is its distinct hand-drawn art style. It all plays a part in drawing the player into Herman's story. Anyway, it was difficult to put the game down as I really got invested into the characters and wanted to see the conclusion of the story. FYI, while the story reaches a satisfying conclusion, there's apparently more to come in a free DLC planned in May. On the gameplay side, it's a standard point-and-click with not-so-difficult puzzles. You can even get hints by using your journal on items (this is also how you …8 found this helpful
This game is certainly worth it! It has a really compelling storyline and an interesting encyclopedia. It's full of exciting characters and lovely sceneries. It has some challenging puzzles. Still, the game is incomplete. They were supposed to release a free dlc in May, that would include the ending of the game, but they never did. Your game is sweet, but, because of this, it left me with a bitter aftertaste in the end. Also, please don't translate your steam store page using google translate, because it makes you look unprofessional. Other than that, you did a great job!6 found this helpful

This game is so beautifully illustrated and manages to handle such difficult topics with grace. The development team should be commended for their courage to talk about Jeju Island's painful history and their work is so important to spread awareness of the genocide that occurred there under the U.S. military government's watch. As a U.S. citizen, I feel strongly that our leaders need to formally apologize and accept responsibility for the government's role in what happened, as well as offer reparations in whatever form the victims of the genocide deem most beneficial. No apology or reparations could possibly bring justice to those who already lost their lives and suffered great trauma, but it would go a long way to foster healing and cross-cultural understanding. In terms of game-play, some of the puzzles are pretty difficult to the point of frustration, so it would be great to have some additional hints for players if you get stuck for more than a certain amount of time. I also found I had to click many times to navigate across different scenes, which can become tedious. This could also be improved with more guidance on where the clickable areas are on the ground, such as with a …3 found this helpful
